🚨 BREAKING: California’s defense in the federal election ballot case may have just taken a serious hit.
Los Angeles County argued that segregating approximately 20,000 ballots associated with suspected noncitizen registrations was operationally impractical.
Enter Clinton Curtis, the elected Registrar of Voters for Shasta County, California, a licensed attorney and computer programmer.
In a sworn declaration filed October 26, Curtis directly challenges that argument.
He states that California’s electronic election systems can flag voters whose eligibility is challenged and that ballot-sorting machines can isolate those ballots BEFORE they are processed.
He further explains that manual procedures exist to accomplish the same objective.
This is significant.
If California’s election systems already possess these capabilities, why did Los Angeles County argue that segregation could not reasonably be accomplished?
More importantly, were election officials aware of these capabilities when making representations to the federal court?
Because there’s an enormous legal difference between being unable to perform a procedure and knowingly representing that a procedure cannot be performed.
Curtis’s declaration doesn’t establish intentional misconduct, but it creates a factual dispute that deserves serious examination.
The DOJ now has sworn testimony from a sitting California election official challenging a central component of LA County’s operational defense.
The question is no longer simply whether the ballots CAN be segregated.
It’s whether Los Angeles County’s election officials accurately represented what their systems are capable of doing.
And if they didn’t, WHY NOT?
NEW: The Registrar in Shasta County, CA disputes LA County's Claim that it can not temporarily segregate mail-in ballots to determine citizenship.
Clinton Curtis, the Shasta County Registar, also a licensed attorney in New York, writes under penalty of perjury:
"Electronic information management systems that are used for voting in California can flag the ballots of likely noncitizens identified by the United States, and the sorting machines can segregate those electronically flagged ballots while determining citizenship under state and federal law. Manual procedures also exist to segregate ballots cast by individuals believed to be noncitizens."

The sequel to The Social Network has made less money in its entire run, worldwide, than the original made in its first three days. Sony's now yanking it from almost 2,000 theaters.
And the reason goes back to a stopwatch.
When Aaron Sorkin wrote The Social Network, his script came in at 162 pages. Hollywood figures about a minute of screen time per page, so Sony was looking at a movie close to three hours long about college kids building a website. The studio was nervous about the length before a single scene got shot.
So David Fincher came over to Sorkin's house with a stopwatch. He had Sorkin read the entire script out loud, as fast as Sorkin heard the lines in his own head, and timed every scene. The whole thing came in at one hour and fifty-nine minutes.
Then he made the actors talk that fast on camera.
Remember the opening scene where Jesse Eisenberg gets dumped in a bar? That took 99 takes over two days. It's why everybody in that movie talks like they've had four espressos, and it's a big reason two hours of guys arguing in deposition rooms plays like a thriller.
The Oscars tell you who made that work. The movie won three. Sorkin got one for the script, and the other two went to the people who controlled how fast it felt, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for the score and Kirk Baxter and Angus Wall for the editing.
None of them worked on the sequel. Fincher wasn't involved and Eisenberg turned down Sony's money. Sorkin ended up directing it himself, and the cinematographer, Jeff Cronenweth, was the only other big name from 2010 who came back.
You can feel it in the reviews. Even critics who liked The Social Reckoning said it's buried in Sorkin monologues. It opened to $5.5 million on a reported $30 million budget and dropped 69% the next weekend.
Sorkin is still about as good as anyone alive at writing dialogue. On the first movie, Fincher's whole job was deciding how much of it you'd actually have to sit through, and how fast.
This time around, nobody was holding the stopwatch.

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar writes in her memoir, “I was eight years old when civil war broke out in Somalia. One day everything was okay, and the next, there were bullets piercing not only buildings but also people.” While Somalia has suffered several civil wars, the chapter is entitled, “War: 1989-1991, Mogadishu, Somalia.” Mogadishu experienced severe riots in July 1989, including a mass execution that became known as the “Jazeera beach massacre.”
If, in her own words in her own autobiography, Omar was eight when this occurred in 1989, then she was born in 1981, and was 19 years old in the year 2000, when her father purportedly obtained his citizenship, not 1982 as she currently claims.

California isn’t even pretending noncitizens aren’t voting in their elections anymore. They’re arguing the federal government can’t stop the state from counting their ballots.

Los Angeles is screwed. You can't fix a problem if you don't know what the problem is. For the next four years, it will only get worse. They're going to hand her millions, if not billions, of dollars. Good luck with that.
Nithya Raman thinks voters are as dumb as she is. Here she is pretending as though homeless drug zombies aren't committing crimes, and aren't even doing drugs. OVER 90% OF LA'S HOMELESS ARE DOING HARDCORE DRUGS. This is a drug problem! It's not a housing problem. These are criminal drug users terrorizing our streets, and this absolute moron wants LESS policing. WTF are we doing?

did anyone happen to check the markets during the fiasco on the @PSA_Sitch & @Friended4Ever show today? 😬
I just watched THE IDES OF MARCH (2011) and it's a great example of a movie with zero action that is not at all slow or a "slow burn" which is just cope for boring. The "action" is in the story conflict. It's also noticeably pre-woke, before the 2016 Hilary defeat broke Hollywood

Professor Barb is upset that we’re publicly responding to disinformation and smear campaigns from political leaders.
Sorry, Barb, we won’t allow the media or politicians to discredit the great work of the men and women of @TheJusticeDept, and we definitely won’t let noncitizens vote.
