I'm sure both atheists and Christians will be entirely reasonable about Joe's conversion, right? Right?

Person that believes in the immaculate conception, walking on water, infinity food hacks, the conversion of water to wine, making the blind see, eternal damnation, heaven, hell, angels, demons, God, the Holy Spirit, and eternal forgiveness and salvation but draws the line at transubstantiation.
My first time at Catholic Church was so nice up until they started talking about that transubstantiation nonsense . I looked around like “yall buying this?” and they were

Numbers 31 may reflect broad historical realities of ancient warfare, killing, captivity, and enslavement, yet its late, ideologically shaped Priestly form doesn’t securely establish this particular campaign as narrated, Moses’ precise order, or an actual divine command.

Unpopular opinion: Ex-Muslim Christian accounts rely too much on negative apologetics. If all you post about is Islam WITHOUT educating seekers on Christian theology in detail, people may lose interest in both religions and drift into Deism or Agnosticism. "Ex-Muslim" shouldn't be a title for clout. Focus on the new identity, not just the old worldview.

I think Dan is most likely right about Junia being an apostle, but his inference is too quick. Romans 16 most plausibly identifies one woman, Junia, who with Andronicus was “prominent among the apostles.”
If you appeal to pseudepigrapha like 1 Cor 14 & the Pastoral Epistles to deny ecclesiastical authority to women, you're a misogynist who ignores scripture. According to Rom 16, there was a woman apostle & if a woman can be an apostle, she sure as hell can be a pastor.

The historical narrative of pre-Islamic Arabia as a completely "illiterate" society is widely considered a myth by modern historians and epigraphers. Abundant physical, linguistic, and historical evidence proves that writing and literacy were widely practiced.

Divine representation/representative predication/divine name-bearing/Iconic Christology is the best and most parsimonious reading of all the data we have about the historical Jesus. It can synthesize many seemingly diverging claims into one coherent whole.

Are we really resorting to the Genetic Fallacy now? As John P. Meier famously said in A Marginal Jew, 'There is no neutral Switzerland of the mind in the world of Jesus research; everyone writes from some ideological vantage point.' Dr. Andani, at this point dismissing peer-reviewed historical scholarship based on the religious affiliation of the authors is a genetic Fallacy and Circumstantial Ad Hom. As Dr. Craig S. Keener points out, dismissing another scholar's case based primarily on their background simply invites the exact same treatment in kind. By your logic we should automatically reject all your publications on Islam simply because you are a devout Muslim. If a historian objectively examines the 1st-century evidence and concludes that the earliest Jewish movement immediately worshipped Jesus as part of the Divine Identity and witnessed His resurrection, of course that scholar is highly likely to be a Christian. Their historical findings justify their faith. If you want to refute Fitzmyer, Dunn, Bauckham, or Hurtado, please debunk their historical data, not their demographics.
Is it just coincidence that so many High Christology supporting scholars are Christian clergy or priests or devout believers in Christianity? This includes Larry Hurtado, James Dunn, Bauckham (Anglican theologian), NT Wright, and the author cited below (Catholic priest). Christians have just stacked the deck of biblical and New Testament studies with their own theologians who publish findings that just happen to agree with their credal beliefs.

Thank you for the spectacular public concession @muslimorthodoxy You have just admitted your deity is a spatially-bounded, composite object. Rejecting the word ‘jism’ does not save you from the inescapable physics of your own theology. First, your claim that inferring 3 dimensions is "unjustified" is geometrically illiterate. You say God is spatial and concrete. 1If X is spatial, then X has a spatial presence. 2Space (even in a relational account) is inherently 3-dimensional. 3Therefore, X has a 3-dimensional presence. You cannot adopt the physics of space and then reject the math. You simultaneously affirm that God is spatial, possesses distinct parts (2 Eyes, Face, 2 Hands, Fingers and Feet) that do not overlap and occupy mutually different spatial locations, and has a limit (Hadd). If an entity has a 3-dimensional presence, limits, and spatially non-overlapping parts, it mathematically necessitates height, width, and depth. What is your alternative? Is your deity a 2-dimensional flat plane? Furthermore, your explicit admission that God has a "Hadd" (limit) at both ends is a fatal metaphysical error. A limit means there is a physical boundary where your deity’s spatial extension begins and ends. Your deity’s spatial extent is a finite number. Anything with a specific boundary and finite extension such as 3 dimensions each with a hadd is finite, arbitrarily limited and requires an external Specifier (Mukhassis) to determine why its limit is exactly that and not some other number. You have reduced the infinite Creator to something finite and externally determined. Second, you admit God has parts (‘lesser than the subject’) but try to save this by saying they aren't "separable like Legos." Physical separability is a biological defense to a metaphysical problem. The logical issue is mereological dependence: a whole mathematically depends on its parts to be what it is. By affirming parts, you strip God of absolute Aseity (independent self-existence) and make Him a dependent composite. You’re as bad as a Social Trinitarian except they have less deity parts than you. Ironically, once you concede this, you completely lose the metaphysical high ground to attack Christians for the Trinity of 3 inseparable divine persons or the eternal generation of the Son. You, like a Christian, are defending composite deity that lacks absolute aseity. Finally, your attempt to weaponize ‘modal collapse’ against Absolute Divine Simplicity completely misses the mark. As a necessitarian, I don't concede modal collapse - I assert it and champion it. It is a feature, not a bug. See my journal article on the topic. The alternative you defend requires positing brute contingencies. If you reject necessitarianism, you introduce ungrounded, brute facts into reality either within the divine or the creaturely levels, destroying the Principle of Sufficient Reason and utterly undermining the foundation of monotheism. You haven't defended the Absolute Creator; you've merely described a giant, mathematically measurable, finitely bounded object and labeled it "Allah."
If you read the section I sent you on Ibn Taymiyah, you would’ve seen that if “Jism” means that God is a concrete existent that is spatial and can be “pointed” to in a direction, then he accepts that meaning as it corresponds with the Quran and Sunnah! While rejecting the Lafdh “Jism” as it is not affirmed by the Quran and Sunnah. You also made some unjustified inferences that God is 3 dimensional. You said that we believe God has a “Hadd” if understood correctly, then this is affirmed by the early predecessors! I refer you to a book called “إثبات الحد لله" You also said we must believe that God is composed of parts, if a part is defined as something belonging to the subject and lesser than the subject, then this is affirmed! If it means something separable from the subject like a Lego piece, this is negated. We reject classically theism so we have no reason to uphold ancient Aristotelian and Platonic commitments. All you did was restate our position, you have not shown how any of this results in a metaphysical or logical issue. You on the other hand Dr. Khalil have conceded modal collapse because of your absurd commitments to ADS

Artificial intelligences do not undergo experiences, do not possess a body, do not feel joy or pain, do not mature through relationships, and do not know from within what love, work, friendship or responsibility mean. Nor do they have a moral conscience, since they do not judge good and evil, grasp the ultimate meaning of situations, or bear responsibility for consequences. They may imitate or even simulate, but they do not understand what they produce, for they lack the affective, relational, and spiritual perspective through which human beings grow in wisdom. #MagnificaHumanitas
