Almost two years later:
Here is my initial attempt to reorganize everything about complex systems in a network! Have a closer look and let me know what you think
I plan to make it an interactive visualization (when I have time)
#ComplexSystems folks:
After more than a decade, I am planning to update this diagram. What kind of keywords, concepts, topics, and/or research areas should be added? Let me know

According to dynamical systems, psychiatric disorders can be seen as energy landscapes with peaks and valleys. OCD has deep valleys where neural activity gets stuck, while schizophrenia has shallow valleys that let neural activity roam too freely, connecting unrelated ideas.

What was your favourite playground ride? Roundabout? Swing? Or maybe the slide? You know, you climb up, stick your legs out and go. Slowly at first, then gathering speed, going faster and faster as you descend. That's the slide.
Unless you're a mathematician. With a toy slide.

The ggplot2 package has become so popular over the years that there are now over 100 extension packages specifically designed to enhance ggplot2 visualizations. These extensions make the ggplot2 syntax even more efficient and help create stunning graphs with ease.
In the upcoming Statistics Globe online course, weโll explore some of the most useful extensions. Iโve created dedicated course modules on the following:
- geomtextpath: Combines text and paths for creative labeling along lines.
- gganimate: Adds dynamic animations to your visualizations.
- ggdist: Enhances visual representation of distributions and uncertainty.
- gghighlight: Highlights specific data points or groups in your plots.
- ggiraph: Makes your plots interactive with hover and click features.
- ggpubr: Simplifies publication-ready plot creation with user-friendly functions.
- ggrepel: Improves readability by preventing overlapping text labels.
- ggstatsplot: Integrates statistical tests directly into your visualizations.
- ggtext: Adds rich text formatting capabilities to your plots.
- patchwork: Easily combines multiple plots into cohesive layouts.
To give you a sneak peek of my favorite extensions, Iโve created a new YouTube video introducing my personal Top 5. Do you agree with my list? Let me know in the comments!
