The US has spent 40+ billion in total US support to Isreal since 2022. That US Aid to Israel is also at American taxpayer’s expense and we’re funding mass atrocities in Gaza, Lebanon, and the West Bank.

I’m tired of saying this, but if she was Jewish you’d already know her story because the @nytimes would cover it.
@CNN would cover it.
And the world would think that her attackers deserved violence and revenge.
Instead it’s Mosab covering it, almost alone.
Heartbreaking. Heartbreaking. Heartbreaking.
Eight-year-old Fatima Hisham al-Bayook has succumbed to her injuries after being struck by an Israeli bullet a few days ago east of Deir al-Balah, Gaza.
There had been desperate pleas for her urgent medical evacuation in the hope of saving her life.
After contacting her family, I can also confirm that Fatima’s mother and two younger siblings were killed in an Israeli strike on December 13, 2023.
Her siblings were Leen, a baby less than a year old, and Asaad, just three years old.
Israel’s terror and the systematic destruction of Palestinian families continue to unfold before the eyes of the world.
Remember their names.

Gross. So sick of the egotistical self-marketing of Joe & Jill Biden, Kamala Harris, Brett McGurk & so much of this entourage.
The Biden years bequeathed us Trump II and some of the worst war crimes enablement in US history. Contrition, not self-congratulation, is in order.
My dad used to say, “Joey, when you get knocked down, get up.” I’ve leaned on those words my whole life, in politics and with my family, through the best days and the hardest ones. I write about that and more in my new book, PROMISE ME, AMERICA. It’s out November 17th, and you can preorder it now at PromiseMeAmerica.com. I’m looking forward to folks reading it.

Israeli society, like every other settler colonial society in the world, is built on layers upon layers of racism.
The elections continue to reveal the racism in Israel towards Mizrahi Jews. When asked if he will vote for Eizenkot, this market vendor says they will "never vote for a Moroccan" in this market, which is ironically a bastion of Mizrahi Jews. This comes days after an Israeli journalist called Eizenkot a monkey. The deep racism and self-hatred are likely keeping Eizenkot from cleanly defeating Netanyahu. There is a reason Israel has never had a Mizrahi prime minister.

So, the Biden administration knew that an American journalist was kidnapped and interrogated by the Israelis for doing his job and their only response was to do nothing. Got it.
I obtained 140 pages of internal State Department emails from when I was being imprisoned and interrogated by the IDF. The correspondence reveals that U.S. officials referred to me as “kidnapped” by the Israeli military while explicitly refusing to consider me "wrongfully detained." Officials were informed of day-long interrogations and made aware of my detention in a notoriously abusive Israeli prison. The emails show no U.S. effort to intervene on my behalf, only a focus on PR and limiting political fallout.

Perhaps the most stark and revealing (accidental?) admission in the David Bell 'antisemitism in UK schools report. Antisemitic attitudes aren't increasing, only anti-Israel ones are. That's what most of this is about.

Israel is using this very rare attack in Hebron, where no one was killed, as an excuse to act like victims and further escalate. As if they don’t kill several Palestinians daily and aren’t daily trying to run them off their land. It’s a testament to how peaceful Palestinians are that this doesn’t happen more often.
The IDF is currently carrying out a large-scale counter-insurgency operation in the West Bank city of Hebron following the Palestinian armed attack on Israeli soldiers at a road junction near the city. The entire occupied West Bank is expected to be placed under a full lockdown in the near future.
All of Hebron and surrounding villages have been cordoned off, and searches are underway at the residences of the attackers and additional suspects.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that he has completed a situation assessment with high-ranking Israeli officials regarding today's Hebron attack, stating that he ordered the IDF and security forces to immediately impose a full lockdown across the West Bank. He also alluded to the possibility that the Palestinians who carried out the attack were affiliated with Hamas, stating that "We will pursue Hamas terrorists and their dispatchers everywhere and at all times. You have no safe haven." Earlier, Israeli media reported that one of the gunmen may have had ties with Hamas.
Neither Hamas nor the Palestinian Islamic Jihad have claimed responsibility for the Hebron shooting. Hamas issued a statement earlier saying that the perpetrators of the attack carried out the shooting as a "natural and planned response to ongoing Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people".
This comes as the IDF has been carrying out intensified raids across the occupied West Bank throughout the last week, reportedly arresting around 70 wanted individuals, including those allegedly affiliated with Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The IDF claims to have located dozens of weapons, including M16 rifles, Carlo submachine guns, and four IEDs during these earlier raids.

“It was like this biblical battle where the Palestinian men … went in front of me to protect … me and my rescuers from being attacked again,” Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine told Jake Tapper.
Palestinian men put themselves between her and her attackers. Remember that when Palestinians are portrayed only as threats, never as people risking their lives to protect others.
As @DropSiteNews reports, Levine was kicked, beaten with clubs and robbed by Israeli settlers while covering an olive harvest in the occupied West Bank, leaving her with multiple broken bones. She said Israeli soldiers charged Palestinian farmers as settlers advanced alongside them.
But perhaps the most devastating part of her account is her recognition that Palestinians endure this violence daily, with nowhere safe to go.
What happens to the people who remain after an injured journalist is evacuated and the cameras leave? Who protects the men who stepped forward to protect her?
Palestinians should not need foreign witnesses beside them to harvest their own olives. Their safety should matter whether an American journalist is there to tell the story or not.

I just got off the phone with a friend in the West Bank who has been stuck at an Israeli military checkpoint at the entrance to the Christian town of Birzeit for over three hours.
Israeli propagandists routinely justify this as necessary for “security” and “preventing terrorism.” These are excuses for collective punishment.
A question for Israelis who defend this: Have you ever been stuck for hours at an Israeli checkpoint because of Israeli settler terrorism?

There was a deeper reason why the film NAZA left the entire audience speechless.
This film isn’t about the tangible, visible horror of Gaza. It was about something more hidden, something far closer to home.
This was about the horror lurking within each of us. What the German-Jewish philosopher Hannah Arendt called “the banality of evil”.
We were stunned, I think, by the realisation that the 24 Israelis up on the screen – each of whom admitted, often dispassionately, sometimes a little proudly, carrying out the most monstrous of crimes – could have been our son or daughter, our brother or sister.
The only reason to applaud, as happened at the Venice Film Festival, it seemed to me, was to drown out the still, small voice of one’s conscience asking, “Might I have done as they did? Might my children?”
NAZA is a gut punch not because it tells us anything we did not already know or suspect about Israel and Gaza.
The enclave’s Palestinian journalists showed us daily the evidence of the genocide, before each was picked off by Israel’s AI machinery – in the largest slaughter of media personnel ever recorded.
No, the film tells us something far more shaming. It tells us who we are. It tells us exactly what the pillars of our western “civilisation” stand on.
Today’s western privileges were built on a long history of naked, racist colonialism – of greed, of pillage, of slavery, of genocide – that we have never truly renounced or forsaken.
Israel continues that tradition for us, both in sharpening colonialism’s technical efficiency with endless, murderous experimentation on a captive Palestinian population and in obscuring our own complicity in this barbarity.
That is the reason why it was so effortless for our leaders to collude in Israel’s genocide: to supply the bombs, to pass on the intelligence, to provide the diplomatic cover, to excuse the “excesses”, to crush the protests.
NAZA silences us not because of the monstrosity of what Israel did but because it serves as irrefutable proof of our own monstrosity. Our societies watched it all and did nothing. We are all guilty.
This is an extract from my latest article NAZA is not just about Israel and Gaza. It’s about the evil lurking in us all. Find a link to the rest in the reply post below ⬇️

By “antisemitism in schools” she means her daughter’s school organized a bake sale for Palestinian charities in November 2023 and when she threw a fit and forced the school to agree that all proceeds be split equally between Palestinian and Israeli charities the other parents voted to cancel the whole thing altogether.

Ali from Baghdad, with a literal Israel accent, turns out to be Hezi from Israel.
And this made the news in France.
Reporting from Paris, Israeli "journalist" Neria Kraus, of i24 News (Channel 15), interviewed "Ali", suposedly a local resident whose parents are from Baghdad.
Well, it turns out that "Ali" is actually Hezi Gangina, an Israeli tourist who lives in the South Tel Aviv neighborhood of Kfar Shalem, built on the ruins of the Palestinian village of Salama.
