Lamine OUT of the top 10, Ferran in the top 4, Harry Kane top 6 and Haaland top 2โฆ ๐ Imagine having the absolute privilege of voting for the most prestigious individual award in world football and dropping a vote ballot that utter garbage.
We need an urgent overhaul.

Please Raphinha, just say you got injured bumping into your coffee table at home and can't even go.

The manager who faked gagging when he walked onto the Camp Nou pitch has just been sacked after putting up one of the worst records in the club's entire history.
Time really does put everyone in their place.
โ๏ธ OFICIAL | Manolo Gonzรกlez deixa de ser entrenador de l'#RCDE. El Club vol agrair-li la seva feina durant tots aquests anys i li desitja molta sort en els seus projectes futurs.
Getting dumped out of the Copa del Rey by a fourth-tier side after going to extra time with two penalties given to them, one of which was never a penalty in the last minute. Football actually did justice today, hats off to Sestao River.

Yet another player coming out to shut down those World Cup final conspiracy theories. Know what's the funniest part? There'll still be absolute nutters out there spinning their little fairy tales, purely because it's way easier than admitting Spain gave them a proper tactical schooling and a complete runaround ๐
๐จ BREAKING: Cuti Romero says he played the World Cup final with painkilling injections and couple of pills due to Achilles tendon injury he suffered against England.
"WE WENT INTO THE TOURNAMENT BARELY FIT ENOUGH. I donโt know if Iโd call it a MIRACLE, but we struggled physically throughout the entire tournament.
"We had too many players who were barely fit enough to play, myself included. Those things [controversy theories] donโt make me angry. Iโm at peace with myself because I gave everything until the very last minute.
"After the match against England, I developed an Achilles tendon problem that I still have to this day. I was barely able to train on any of the days leading up to the final.
"I went into the match barely fit enough to play. I played the way I did after taking a couple of pills and receiving painkilling injections. My body just couldnโt take any more in the second half.
"Itโs already frustrating enough to go into a match as important as a World Cup final when youโre not fully fit. It makes you angry, but you always want to be out there.
"Despite everything, I felt capable of playing, and I wanted to be there.โ @losedul
I get why a lot of people are calling for Michael Carrick's head and there are valid reasons for it, but you've also got to remember that since he walked through the door on January 13th last season, Man United actually picked up more points than any other side in the entire Premier League.
The catch? He managed all that playing a style that rivals have fully worked out by now. Man United were just sitting deep and killing teams on the counter using the open space. Mind you, Carrick hasn't lost a single Premier League match where he's had less possession than the opposition, a stat that actually still stands today.
โ More than 50% possession: 7 games, 4 wins, 2 losses, and a draw. 1.87 points per game.
โ
Less than 50% possession: 10 games, 8 wins, 2 draws. 2.6 points per game.
Opposition managers fully clocked onto that, and what did they do? Literally just handed the ball over to United. Last season they were out-possessed in 10 out of the 17 games under Carrick, but this season they've had more of the ball in EVERY single Premier League fixture apart from that draw against Leeds.
-- My opinion:
I reckon it's the right call. I'd personally stick with Michael Carrick until the end of the season. I genuinely feel he's got what it takes to turn things around. He's coming off a solid season, so why sack him just to bring in some complete stranger to the dressing room and roll the dice on YET ANOTHER project that doesn't guarantee a thing? How are you supposed to build a winning project if you're swapping managers every single year?
The only logical reason to let him go is if there's zero progress by the end of the season in seven months' time, but pulling the plug mid-season makes absolutely no sense to me.

He will be in charge of Manchester United when they face Chelsea this weekend. ๐ช
Then we act shocked when footballers start sounding like scripted PR robots mate. The second a player actually tries to be genuine in public, talking like he's just bantering with his mates and dropping a meme he finds funny, everyone completely loses their mind.
It wouldโve been so easy for him to just go: โnah, no favourites here, theyโre all funny and I just take it on the chin,โ but he chose to tell the truth instead. Now an entire country is crucifying him to the point of pulling the TV rights for the whole league he plays in.
People can say what they want, but Mbappรฉ hasn't actually done or said a single thing wrong.

The one and only name repeated in the Ballon d'Or top 10 across both 2007 and 2026. A full 19 years between nominations.
Generations shifted, new stars popped up, absolute legends hung up their boots, and football transformed completely, yet one name remains right up there with the best on the planet: Lionel Andrรฉs Messi Cuccittini.
Back in 2007 he was just a 20yo kid taking over the world with that left foot. Today, he doesn't just slot into the top 10, but cracks the top 5 best players on earth.
