Imagine how much art practice you would get in if you just traded 2 hours of scrolling a day for drawing.

Precisely. The baseline for political literacy is remarkably low. Just as in the United States, the average citizen in many African nations struggles to navigate domestic politics and economics, which directly drives how we vote—impacting electoral outcomes.
This domestic blind spot leaves populations entirely unprepared for the broader realities of foreign intervention—specifically the covert diplomacy, espionage, and intelligence operations leveraged by the CIA to control, exploit, and destabilize developing countries.
Here are some books to help bridge the gap:
White Malice: The CIA and the Covert Recolonization of Africa

Confessions of an Economic Hitman, 3rd Edition a.co/d/058IceFw
The Lumumba Plot: The Secret History of the CIA and a Cold War Assassination

The Jakarta Method

America's Covert War in East Africa: Surveillance, Rendition, Assassination

What the average African hasn't yet fully grasped is that when CIA assets masquerading as presidents of your nation seem to be failing at their jobs, they aren't. You're simply not privy to their actual JDs. They were specifically installed to destabilise national economic progress.
During their performance assessments, they're told, "Great work! Here's a little gift." And it's a Zoom call with Will Smith or Beyoncé singing "Happy Birthday", or whatever childhood American hero they're dying to meet.
Still, it's a gorgeous day out and there are reasons to be grateful. Happy Sunday!

Control is so cool in so many ways but one of my favorite things is the dedication to the small details... I think this stuff is super fun to find.

This week has been really hard for us. We've had two major publishing opportunities fall through because, while they loved Harmonie, they felt it was too unique for the current market.
@IndieGameJoe just gave us the hope we desperatly needed. We're truly grateful. ❤️

Some of the art is also by Remedy staffers, who are essentially exhibiting their side projects in Resonant.
A very cool aspect of this game, from a studio that often taps family and friends to fill things out
Read all about it (and why there are so many gyms in the game, too!)

NEW: Remedy's latest game, Control Resonant, is filled with art galleries. The galleries are filled with real art
When I began talking to Remedy about it, I was delighted to discover who the artists are: many are the game developers' parents

The bulgarian choir was an early reference point from me, a cosmic vibe through human singing was the perfect overlap between the strange and the familiar.
Always a blast to work with Petri 🔥
