The National Assembly and the Executive have violated the Constitution by laying the 2025 Budget outside the stipulated 60-day timeframe. Imo, government should mandate forex-bureau owners to have well-equipped security personnel; otherwise, they shouldn't be allowed to operate at all. We've gone past the age where places like these are left under the control of one person, often women with little to no protection.
Authorities are presently looking into the reported fatal stabbing of a female employee at a FOREX Bureau at Westfield. The incident occurred this afternoon just before Jumuah prayers. Allegedly, a man entered the forex bureau, demanded money from the female employee, and proceeded to stab her. Following the attack, the injured employee was swiftly taken to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. Sources indicate that the assailant subsequently attempted to end his own life, but was unsuccessful. The police are currently on-site at Westfield, conducting an investigation into the incident.
