Gee they caught them with help from Flock Cameras ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
Five people allegedly robbed an Indianapolis jewelry store at gunpoint, tied up employees and fled with $2 million in cash and jewels before being caught after a multi-county chase.
This all started around 1 p.m. on the cityโs southeast side.
IMPD tells us witnesses gave great descriptions of the suspects and police were able to use license plate readers to get a hit on the getaway car.
Weโre told ISP troopers located the car traveling in Boone County, near Lebanon, and attempted to pull it over.
The car fled from troopers, leading to a chase.
That car was eventually pitted on Interstate 65 in Clinton County, and the five people inside โ believed to be the suspects in the jewelry store robbery โ fled before being taken into custody.
Police tell us they collected bags of evidence from the car.
Thankfully, the employees are not injured, we are told.
The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the IMPD Robbery Unit at 317-327-3733, or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477.
