She’s basically telling men that answering disrespect with more patience and understanding just teaches her there’s no real cost. If she can be nice to strangers and her boss but talks crazy to you, she already knows how to control herself, she just doesn’t think she has to with you. And behavior follows whatever you keep allowing. Name it once, no big speech. If the pattern keeps going, stop negotiating. Distance is still a boundary. You can care about someone and still refuse to keep eating the same treatment.
