Backpack’s stock tokens may give holders a stronger claim to the shares behind them.
Holding a stock token does not always give investors the same rights as holding the stock through a broker. Many other stock tokens pay cash when holders redeem.
Backpack lets eligible holders redeem their tokens for a stock position in a Backpack brokerage account with the option to transfer those shares to another brokerage through ACATS and DTCC rails.
That position is a security entitlement, the same legal interest investors hold when they buy stock through a traditional broker.
Backpack’s token is a claim on an entity holding the shares, so the two carry different rights.
Redemption changes what the investor owns while preserving exposure to the stock.

很開心看到 @Backpack 今年終於被大家注意到了。
過去幾年，新開的交易所很多都是直接沿用現成的撮合引擎與架構，換個介面、改個品牌就能上線。
CEX 這個領域其實已經很久沒有真正意義上的革新了，更多時候只是業務層面的擴張，以及既有系統上的修修補補。
Backpack 選了一條更慢、更難的路。
他們把整套交易引擎重新做了一遍。
如果用遊戲來比喻，就像大家都直接用 Unreal Engine 開發遊戲，Backpack 卻決定自己重新做一套遊戲引擎。
這種做法的代價也很明顯。
產品開發週期被拉得很長，也因此錯過了上一輪大牛市最肥的一段行情。等到他們真正把合約交易系統做出來的時候，行情其實已經走得差不多了。
但到了這一輪，Solana 鏈上股票成為官方發展重點，Backpack 過去幾年投入底層基礎建設、交易系統與合規牌照的價值，也開始慢慢被市場看見。
在一個普遍追求速度、流量和賺快錢的幣圈產業裡，願意花幾年時間，把最底層、最難做的東西重新做好，其實是一件很難得的事。
恭喜 @armaniferrante。花了這麼多年走一條比較慢、也比較難被理解的路，現在終於開始看到成果了。
