There is no confirmed archaeological evidence for a single person, place, or event not already named in the Bible that has been acknowledged as positive evidence for its historicity. It teaches a works-based gospel & contains anachronistic theology. It’s a #MormonMyth
The Book of Mormon takes place in the ancient Americas and, like the Bible, was written by Jesus Christ's followers. It teaches His gospel and testifies of Him. As you live the teachings found in the Book of Mormon, you can find peace and truth. churchofjesuschrist.org/come…

Jesus & the apostles taught there is one God. Jesus claimed to be God & the apostles confessed He was. Mormonism rejects what Jesus & the Apostles taught, by affirming a plurality of gods & a regression of gods. Affirming Mormonism, is idolatry & unbelief in the one true God.

Why should I respond? You ignored my response to your original email! I told you: your thesis statement is insane. Absurd. Stupid. No debate teacher on the planet would let it pass. I sent TWO topics back to you. YOU ignored them. You are an extremely dishonest man, Hayden. A deceiver. I just documented it on the Dividing Line, which just finished. I will link to it as soon as it is done processing. I am not sure how any meaningful debate could be set up with you, given your character. It's shocking. But again, I talked about this on the Dividing Line last Thursday. And, since you have chosen this kind of action here, I will now provide the email I sent you that YOU ignored. Text below: James, Thanks for your invite to participate in a moderated debate on your channel. You challenged me to back up the claim that you can’t justify your own standard, so I propose that the debate resolution be: “Protestants Can’t Justify Their Standard” That may be, honestly, the most absurd debate thesis I have ever heard. Part of the amazement of my initial response on line was that such an assertion is so utterly vague and nebulous it could be made to say anything an unscrupulous person would like it to say. There is no "Protestant" church, of course, so there is no definition of this alleged "standard" to begin with. Truly, I am chuckling here. Resolved: The Aaronic and Melchizedek Priesthoods Are Necessary for the Existence and Function of the Church of Jesus Christ. You take the affirmative. Resolved: The Triune God of Scripture Has Decreed All Things Unto His Own Glory I take the affirmative. If we do two hours per debate, and do it on a Saturday, say, starting at 5pm, we could get them both done. Early December would be a good time frame. I do not think free cross examination would work with you, given my experience with you in the past. Timed questions would have to suffice. Given that the LDS Church proclaims itself the only church upon the earth with authority given by Christ, the first topic should be a given. The second would give me the opportunity to demonstrate that only the Triune God can answer the big questions of existence, time, knowledge, and meaning, while an exalted man, subject to external forces and principles that themselves have no explanation for their origin is insufficient to answer any of the truly foundational questions. We could do it online, obviously, but since we are local, in person would be better. But that is negotiable. James White

Maximizing similarities & minimizing differences for rhetorical effect. The facts about the LDS Gospel: 1. It teaches different gods 2. It teaches a different way to God 3. It denies the word of God on numerous things That doesn’t make it Christian doctrine, but false doctrine.
Evangelical: Mormons aren't Christians. LDS: Okay. What makes someone a Christian? Evangelical: Believing in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. LDS: I believe Jesus is my Lord and Savior. Evangelical: Yes, but you have to believe He's the Son of God. LDS: I believe He's the literal Son of God. Evangelical: And that He died for your sins and rose again. LDS: I believe He atoned for my sins, died on the cross, and rose on the third day. Evangelical: But you don't believe in the Trinity. LDS: So belief in Jesus isn't the test. Agreement with a creed is? Evangelical: The Trinity is biblical. LDS: Where does the Bible say you have to accept the Nicene Creed to be a Christian? Evangelical: …It's just what Christians have always believed. LDS: So the definition is "what my tradition believes"? Evangelical: You believe in a different Jesus. LDS: The Jesus born in Bethlehem, crucified under Pontius Pilate, and resurrected from the tomb? Evangelical: Yes, but your understanding of Him is wrong. LDS: That's a disagreement about who He is. It's not proof that I don't follow Him. Peter's confession was "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God." That was enough for Jesus. Why isn't it enough for us?

Imagine thinking it’s scandalous to quote John 10 literally
This is honest Calvinism. This is a false gospel. If you believe this you believe a false gospel. Period. Mormons don’t get a pass and neither should you.

Watch as @RCSproul explains that the good news of the gospel is that God declares us to be just because of the righteousness of Christ. Watch the full message: youtu.be/OIThKTbg3Mk All of Dr. Sproul’s teaching series are now free to stream in Ligonier’s app: Ligonier.org/app

Last thought before I go to bed… There is not a single theological framework more strawmanned, misrepresented, hated, and vilified more than Calvinism. Many people refuse to properly & Biblically argue against the Doctrines of Grace, instead resorting to personal attacks and emotion-based argumentation. Many of these conversations could be fruitful, leading to more people diving into The Bible together, struggling through the years of American evangelism many of us have gone through that has devalued and dumbed down God’s sovereignty, Jesus’ ministry, the miracle of justification (salvation), the depth of Scripture, & the Great Commission, yet often it’s turned into people going as far as calling Calvinism a cult, those that hold to it “blasphemers of the Holy Spirit”, & more inflammatory, unfounded accusations. (Not everyone that disagrees does these things but I see it too far often) I struggled through the Doctrines of Grace through months and months of intensive study. Years of conversations and discipleship. It’s frustrating to hear the same objections over and over without proper dialogue and examining of Scripture. Goodnight ✌️

I listened to the @DineshDSouza debate. Both sides must explain why God doesn’t stop evil. As a Calvinist, I believe God has good purposes for the evil he decrees, even when those purposes are hidden from us. Dinesh makes libertarian free will the greater good. But saying God values human autonomy more than stopping horrific evil makes God seem more monstrous, not less.

Dinesh D'souza and Jenna Ellis cannot fathom a god who *checks notes* acts like a God. We are created beings. God didn't find us floating in this rock and decided to take us over. He made us. In no way do we exist independently from Him. The sooner we reconcile that the better.

Debate moment, Dinesh: I’m not arguing that there are no instances of God predetermining in the Bible Well since the example was the crucifixion, you have completely given away any argument based upon theodicy. If God decreed that event, including the actors, you’ve already lost

My favorite Dinesh D’Souza arguments against Calvinism ranked: 1. Is there injustice with God? 2. Why does He still find fault? 3. Who can resist His will?
If God predestines many to damnation, by refusing to give them the grace they would need to be saved, then who is to blame for all these people going to hell? Calvinists: They are! No, they are not. They had no way to save themselves, and God chose not to save them.
