Every now and then a vegan or animal rights account will find me and call me disgusting or evil for raising animals to slaughter.
I truly believe it’s the opposite. You couldn’t see the process through without having profound empathy for them. Before dispatching comes daily responsibility and care. Volunteering for that just isn’t practical for someone who doesn’t love animals.
They also conveniently ignore that I’m one less person dependent on industrial livestock where the animals actually do suffer.
I’ll always maintain that I take great joy in raising animals and they NEVER experience any kind of suffering or pain. For those who have done what I do or have done similar, like hunting, that explanation is unnecessary.
Those who have never dispatched an animal for food are simply mistaken and ignorant.

After Trump was banned everywhere following January 6, everyone agreed that there had to be a legislative answer to big tech cenorship.
Trump actually came out with really good proposals in 2022, including a Digital Bill of Rights and mandatory rights of appeal and transparency into bannings.
Then Elon bought Twitter, Meta and YouTube opportunistically allowed some conservatives back, and Republicans did nothing again with control of three branches of government. Now the right is vulnerable to another massive wave of censorship as Democrats get back into power.
