Churches closing. Clergy cut. Parishes merged.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
The future of the Church of England lies where it always has: in the local parish, with a priest who knows their people.
Read our manifesto. Stand for General Synod.
Together, let’s #SaveTheParish

Glad I wasn’t on the train. That would drive me mad.
A hospital admission for atrial flutter becomes a moment of unexpected comfort when a familiar Philips heart monitor reminds me of my husband Andrew’s years working on healthcare monitoring software.

Last year, it was an effigy of a boat carrying asylum seekers. This year, it’s a mosque.
Coming just weeks after racist attacks forced families from their homes, this has nothing to do with culture. The Moygashel bonfire is becoming an annual shrine to racism and hate.
Political leaders need to stop making excuses and condemn it unequivocally.

This is pretty cringe-worthy. So, we can 'see and celebrate the hand of God' in a free kick, silky pass, or impossible save - but not queer relationships. Make it make sense, in any sensible way.
A prayer for the World Cup 2026. ⚽

ALT A prayer for the World Cup God of glory, as the world gathers to celebrate the beautiful game, we pray for a harmonious and joyous World Cup. Bring safety and security for players and officials on the pitch, fans in the stands, and spectators at home. May we see and celebrate the hand of God in the creativity of every curving free kick, silky pass or impossible save. May we have compassion and perspective on the miskicks, missed penalties, and muddled VARs. Every winning team needs a losing team – even if you were the better team. Let the journey to World Cup glory be not only for the nation that wins. May we see something more of the world you want us to be: a gathering of every nation and people who share your glory. Amen.
Think my wallet has fallen out on the 1100 Heuston to Cork train. It had my public services card etc in it. I got off in Port Laoise. Any help @irishrail
