It went something like this:
“Basically in this story, King Arthur is a woman.”
“What, like a crossdresser?”
“No no, she is an actual woman.”
“So trans?”
“No she was born a woman.”
And it went on a loop like that for about 5 minutes

Was to my parents and they really struggled grasping the concept of a genderbent character

*studio collapses
Don’t Nod, the studio behind the original Life is Strange, is collapsing.
The French developer is facing a near-total layoff, up to 85 jobs, which would leave its French teams with only a small number of employees.
The studio has struggled with a string of underperforming releases, the most recently the sci-fi adventure Aphelion.
Don’t Nod has warned that it may not have enough funding to continue operating beyond January 31, 2027, and has entered a French “safeguard” procedure to restructure its finances.

Lets help him out!
Lily cuts Severus off for joining up with terrorists only to then date and marry a guy who lynched Severus basically just because he didn't like him
Lily not getting with Severus is one thing
Getting together with James Potter is another and the books don't do a very good job of justifying that transition.
It still *works* but I can see why people would find it questionable.
Can we finally stop pretending that Severus Snape "unfairly lost" Lily to James Potter?
The movies created a massive wave of casual fans who think Lily just randomly dumped her childhood best friend for a popular bully. They view Snape as some tragic, friendzoned victim. But if you actually pay attention to the story, Lily didn't "choose" James over Snape because of high school drama, she cut Snape off because he willingly joined a radicalized hate group.
The reality the fandom completely glosses over:
You don’t "lose" a girl to a rival like she’s a prize to be won. Lily wasn't an object; she either returned Snape's feelings or she didn't and she clearly didn't. Did James go out of his way to be an absolute asshole to Snape? Yes. He and Sirius were relentless bullies. But James’ antics didn’t ruin
Snape’s chances; Snape’s own choices did.
Snape was actively pursuing the Dark Arts and hanging out with future Death Eaters. The moment he called Lily a "Mudblood" wasn’t just a slip of the tongue, it was the final straw in a wedge he had been driving between them for years.
If James and Sirius had been less malicious, maybe Snape would have found a more positive outlet for his genius instead of joining Voldemort. But blaming Lily or James for Snape becoming a terrorist is wild mental gymnastics.
Lily needed a stable partner for life after Hogwarts, and Snape chose a path of hatred and dark magic. He didn't lose her "unfairly", he threw her away.
Stop blaming the girl for a man’s terrible choices.

Men were never neant to know the brutal Darwinian machinations of women's minds in detail like we do with social media. She legitimately probably didn't even understand what it meant to say this out loud.
What shes saying is "Youre not handsome/dangerous/sexually attractive enough to risk R-type reproduction with because your genetic material isnt that good. But, I would let you K-type reproduce with me because you have resources and are stable/non-threatening."
Basically calling him a an ugly beta male pussy in the most egregious way possible.
The female equivalent i guess(?) Would be to say to a woman, "Im glad you're not one of those crazy hot women i cant relax around".
... Average?
Bro the muggle equivalent here would be
One A+, 5 Bs, one C, and two Ds.
Dude had plenty of practical experience. At worst he wasn't academic.
