A whole 24 hours and you only get light for 3 hours. And those 3 hours are usually the most unproductive parts of the night, 3-6AM. No be life people outside Abuja de live so wallahi. #TinubuMUSTGo2027
Twice now i have seen this argument.... Are you expecting the motorcade of Atiku and his campaign team of former governors, senators and other top dignitaries together with their security team to be attacked? How is Atiku your yardstick for measuring road security? Ya Salam π
No thanks to President @officialABAT, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, who continues to provide the leadership and inspiration our security forces need to make our roads increasingly safe for all and sundry to travel and go about their various endeavoursβ¦ Even those who constantly tell us how unsafe the roads are seem confident enough to travel on them now. π

My President, squeeze his blockus..... Press am, press am.
IN 1993, I LAID ABTIβS FOUNDATION; TINUBU FORFEITED $460,000 IN THE U.S. β ATIKU
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has condemned President Bola Tinubuβs latest attack on his investment in education, describing it as a desperate attempt to distract Nigerians from the failure of his administration.
In a statement issued by the Director of Strategic Communication, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku said:
βAgain, Bola Tinubu has told Nigerians why they should not allow him to continue as president after his first tenure. He also chose to question my investment in education and ask how I built an educational institution while serving as Vice President.
βThe answer is simple: my investment in education predates my time in public service. In 1993, while a U.S. court ordered the forfeiture of funds in an account in your name, describing them as proceeds of narcotics trafficking or funds involved in unlawful financial transactions, I was laying the foundation for ABTI Academy. That Academy has since grown into the American University of Nigeria.
βThat moment captures the difference between us. My history is traceable. I can show Nigerians how I built my name, achieved success in business and entered public leadership. Your own history remains clumsy and foggy. You cannot erase it by attacking my record in education.
βA president who has plunged the country into a crushing cost-of-living crisis has no business asking Nigerians for another mandate. The real conversation about the 2027 election is how to repair the damage your government has done.
βYou say Nigeria cannot return to subsidy and must move forward. But you cannot even tell Nigerians where you are taking them. Forward into deeper poverty, mounting debt, insecurity and mass unemployment?
βSince your inauguration in 2023, your leadership has become synonymous with hardship, pain and despair. Your record is a working example of how a country should not be led. You have created poverty on an industrial scale, pushing more than 79 million Nigerians into extreme poverty.
βYour campaignβs Director-General says hungry Nigerians are simply lazy. He delivered that statement in grammar so badly constructed it could wake the dead. This government does not even believe Nigerians are hungry. How can you solve a problem you refuse to acknowledge?

Back in school, a colleague mocked a guy for giving up his seat for her during postings. It was a heated argument and the opinions were very shocking.
Next day, during posting and one of the ladies who was championing the argument of mocking the guy was in obvious discomfort from cramps. And she couldnβt get a seat.
Everyone continued with posting as though nothing happened. The consultant (female) spoke and asked why no one was willing to surrender their seat despite the state of the babe.
The argument from the previous day came up and she listened attentively to all the points. And she concluded
βDO NOT TREAT THESE LADIES BASED OFF WHAT THEY SAY, ELSE YOU WILL LOSE YOUR HUMAN SIDE.β
Since then, I just treat people as good as I deem fit regardless of their takes.
1. As a woman I have benefited A LOT from patriarchy eg if I enter a room and there are 5 men and 1 chair, all 5 men will say I should sit. My clients love going to police stations and other law enforcement with me because they know the officers will be nice to me and that invariably means nicer treatment for them. Benefits of patriarchy.
2. Patriarchy is why I can ask a random man to help me reverse my car (π₯²π₯²donβt judge me, that is the worst part of driving), and he will gladly do it. I have never changed a Tyre in my life why? If I have a flat on the road, I wonβt spend up to 5 minutes before a man will pull over and help me fix my spare for free.
3. Because of patriarchy, women like me in male dominated fields are treated like eggs. 10 criminal litigation lawyers, 9 are men, 1 is me. They will say βlet the woman go firstβ, βa beautiful woman should not be stressed, who did you come to bail from cell?β Sharp sharp I don finish dey go. Even male judges joke with you more when youβre for eg the only female in court.
4. Clients pay more because they know a woman will make it easier for them. Client don ever add additional 200k to my fee because we went together when he was invited to SARS and he noticed how everyone was nice and he wasnβt maltreated because of my presence.
Men (patriarchy) are always nice to me (a woman) and I have benefited more from patriarchy than actual men themselves ππ
It is women who are liabilities that complain of patriarchy.
For body building, if you have the Igbo gene, you are already 50 steps ahead. I will die on this hill.

This was Scott Colom's last political ad before the Tuesday election in Mississippi. It shows why he should win the race for Senator. No name calling. Just a rendition of history that shouldn't be forgotten and the reason to vote.

The audacity to hate on someone for trying to make life more comfortable and encouraging others to priorities their productivity and comfort.
All while choosing to study abroad. At least be consistent. The Nigerian education system was here when you made that (rational) choice. How many people hated you for doing something that just made sense..Or does that mean you sold out on bad state of education in Nigeria?
I live and work in Nigeria. I contribute to the economy, from STEM education to financial technology, I pay my taxes, and have actively advocated and protested for a better Nigeria. I am here, doing my part to make this country better.
This is particularly disappointing coming from you, Rinu. I genuinely thought you were above the performative outrage merchants who ride waves of public discontent to build personal relevance.
Nigeria doesn't even rank among the world's top 50 solar energy users. Yet, many of the countries dominating that list have some of the most stable electricity grids in the world. People there still choose energy independence for convenience, resilience and productivity. Do you hate them too?
Perhaps the problem isn't really about concern for Nigerians. Perhaps outrage has simply become another tool for performing concern and harvesting public anger for personal relevance.
I have been consistent about this since 2016. I know how many people I have helped transition to solar, how many businesses I have advised at absolutely no cost, the number of free installations I have facilitated, and the countless hours of free consultations I have given.
Hate me all you want. I will continue to advocate for renewable energy as a practical alternative to an unreliable grid, while equally pushing for and supporting efforts towards a better national electricity grid..

Today on November the 6th, our father, my mother's husband went home to be with his mother whom he lost when he was a young man. He also went to be with his father, whom he loved and respected immensely.
Richard Neece Ojeda lived an extraordinary life. He enjoyed the love of a wonderful woman. He traveled the world and lived a life of service that started in the US Air Force and continued after graduating from the Mayo Clinic where he was commissioned as an officer in the US Army.
After military service my father spent the next 55 years practicing anesthesia. He was the first man in Logan County history to perform an epidural at Logan Regional Hospital in Logan, WV. Over many years, he would be remembered as the man who gave the majority of epidurals for those giving birth in Logan County, West Virginia.
My father enjoyed traveling to Guatemala where he worked with Doctors Without Borders and administered anesthesia to children born with cleft palates. On a normal trip to perform that work, he would treat over 1000 children every time he was there.
Our father traveled the world. One of my favorite conversations with my father was in 1990, when I was stationed in Germany. I was at the train station in Frankfort when I called home. My father would tell me the details of that train station because he had also spent time there a couple of decades before me. In 2003, my father flew to South Korea to spend a couple of weeks with me where we climbed volcanoes in the South China Sea. We rode in a submarine and visited temples all across Cheju-Do Island. At the end of those two weeks, we both flew to Hawaii where we visited the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor, visited Ernie Pyle's grave at the Punchbowl and climbed Diamond Head Peak in Honolulu.
Our father was a very well-read man. He maintained a library in our home that is still in existence today. He was an avid supporter of scientists like Albert Einstein, Neal deGrasse Tyson and Carl Sagan and could spend hours talking about quarks and black holes. My father was a passionate Catholic and said his rosary almost every night. He was proud to be a member of the Knights of Columbus.........and my father was a very generous man. He gave freely. He loved everybody and believed that everyone deserved a second chance. He loved to ski and spent time skiing in Canada, Colorado and of course in the mountains of West Virginia. But most importantly, He loved his family. He spoke of his brothers and sisters often and was truly proud of each and every one of them.
He would often speak about his brothers who all had reputations as being some of the best welders to work for the mines in southern West Virginia. His fondest memories go back to his childhood when he lived in the Coal Camp in Dehue, West Virginia. They didn't grow up with a lot of money.......but they were rich in love. His father taught every one of them the value of hard work while their mother showed them all how to be generous with those around them. If you were a child that was close to their home when it was dinner time, she fed them too.
I could continue speaking the praises of my wonderful father. We will love him forever and live lives that will guarantee us all, that we will see him again.
Love you Pop β€οΈ

For years, my dad battled Parkinsonβs disease. On Election Night, I got to tell him, βPop, we won.β
This morning, he passed away.
A part of me believes he held on just long enough to see his son make it to Congress.
He wonβt be there when Iβm sworn in. But I know heβll be standing right beside me.
Rest easy, Daddy. Iβll take it from here. These next two years are for you β€οΈ
It is a miracle like maaaaaad......
Our very own Paul Biya?
From all indications, it is becoming increasingly clear why Tinubuβs campaign team is restricting the president to fewer campaign stops than usual. They could simply be honest about his physical stamina rather than hiding behind the excuse of βbusy with state matters.β At his age, a less demanding campaign schedule would be understandable. There is absolutely nothing wrong with honesty.

The Democrat who quit the race won.
In deep red Tarrant county Texas, she didnβt want the job anymore but the people elected her anyway.
Even a Dem who doesnβt even want the job is preferable to a Republican

I've been in politics for a quarter century. It's hard to express how staggering it is to see a conversation like this on corporate US media. The Morning Joe panel gobsmacked by the directness of @AbdulElSayed's points.
