As exciting as it is to have the chance to see this beautiful rare bird, pls can we ask - be mindful & respect its space & presence, putting the interests of the wryneck first. It is a photo for you but it could be the difference between life & death for the wryneck. Thank you 🕊

Glad you got to see it, Kabir. It showed incredibly well for a few minutes this morning and I'm hugely grateful to the finder for putting the news out. It's my first in the UK having first found one in Mallorca 30 years ago and since seen a few in Slovakia.
