Connecting art and science!
An inspired collaboration from Royal Academy of Dance and @TheCrick @HaydayLab portraying vaccination through dance, a preview from @royalsociety.
🌟A good reminder to be creative in our approach to science communication🧬@RADheadquarters

What can you tell about a person from just a teaspoon of blood? The 'Vaccination, a time machine' team from the Francis Crick are at the #SummerScience Exhibition to tell us how we can predict effective our immune systems will be in the future.

The #SummerScience Exhibition at @TheCrick is always well worth a visit and there’s several fascinating exhibits again this year including @HaydayLab’s look into the history of vaccination. We’ve seen promising trial results for some personalised cancer vaccines in recent times and with more trials launching globally, it’s the perfect time to learn more about the topic at next week’s exhibition!

A reminder to add to your calendars our next seminar on Thursday 4th April, 4pm BST before we take a brief break for Easter!
We'll be joined by @DanDavies18 from @HaydayLab presenting his PhD work on tissue-adapted PD-1+ Vδ1+ T cells & their importance for cancer immunotherapy

Have you ever wondered: Does PD-1 expression have the same biological significance across all immune cell subsets that express it? 🧵 (1/14)

Our paper is out today in @NatureCancer! We examine the functional relevance of PD-1 expression in Vδ1+ #gdTcells and demonstrate that presence of these cells within tumours predict clinical response to anti-PD-1 CPI, in patients with #melanoma.

Taking a cue from the non-clonotypic activation and positive selection of γδT cells via natural ligands binding to the germline CDR2/HV4 region of the TCRγδ, Vantourout et al. demonstrated that [...] bit.ly/48olJYV @Kingsmedicine @HaydayLab

From @KCLImmunoMicro, the @HaydayLab showed that nonclonotypic TCRVβ targeting can broaden our perspectives on human T cell response modes and might offer ways to induce clinically beneficial phenotypes in defined T cell subsets.

💥Very happy that our #thymus #stemcell work is now published @Dev_Cell thanks to the great effort of @RobertaRag80163 , the lab and all our collaborators @HaydayLab , BonnetLab, @CrickFlow , @TheCrick , @iit_ucl , @nanostringtech and support by @ERC_Research @RosetreesT @UCLTRO
Crick and @UCL researchers from @bonfantilab have found adult stem cells in the thymus for the first time.
The findings, part of an @ERC_Research project, reshape what we know about the thymus & provide potential targets for regenerative medicine.
