Last night at a candidate forum in Eden, LD26’s independent Senate candidate claimed the Republican Central Committee told her she couldn’t run in the Republican primary. That is a lie. The committee has no authority to prevent an eligible candidate from filing for office, something anyone seeking a seat in the Idaho Senate should understand. The decision was entirely hers. She had every opportunity to compete in the Republican primary, make her case for conservatism, and let Republican voters decide. Instead, she chose to run as an independent in the general election and has openly discussed splitting the conservative vote. She has every right to run. Voters have every right to question her motives.

Ketchum's local option tax (LOT) taxes residents too. The LOT once helped fund fire services, but Ketchum homeowners now pay a separate property tax for fire protection. Meanwhile, the Urban Renewal Agency holds nearly $20 million but prioritizes affordable housing over infrastructure improvements. Now the city wants 15 more years of LOT AND higher rates. So where is the money going? Vote AGAINST the Ketchum LOT on Nov. 3.

"Ironically, the proposal could increase corruption by making it more difficult for citizens to organize against powerful politicians and the interests already entrenched in Lansing," @HeatherLauer said. michigancapitolconfidential.…

One thing I’ve learned today is that a LOT of Airbnb hosts haven’t realized they’re actually in the hospitality industry, not the real estate industry.

We are grateful for @redmanforidaho’s support in LD26. We need more patriots like him to stand up and fight for candidates who have principles.
Redman has contributed $555,000 of his own money to his 36-18-1 PAC this year. He now using that cash to oppose Prop 1 and support seven Republicans in swing districts. idahoednews.org/ballot-beat/…

Who actually gets things done? In 2026, Idaho lawmakers passed 344 bills into law. Not one had a Democrat as its primary sponsor. If District 26 wants a voice in Boise, we need Republican legislators who can deliver results for Blaine, Lincoln, and Jerome counties. Vote Bryan Hyde for Idaho Senate, and Lyle Johnstone and Mike Pohanka for Idaho House. Early voting is underway now or vote on Election Day, November 3. This is one of my favorite corners of the United States - beautiful scenery, a premier birding destination, excellent wineries, higher elevations and cooler temps, and well-preserved Old West, borderland culture. Let’s keep it that way.
America’s newest national park is rock solid! Chiricahua is officially our 64th national park. Welcome to the "Wonderland of Rocks."

“The people sounding the alarm about “dark money” are often part of a political effort to create an uneven playing field. Out-of-state billionaires want the freedom to shape Montana politics while supporting rules that would hamstring Montana businesses, associations, employers, and other local voices from speaking about decisions that directly affect their workers, communities, and livelihoods.” @TrevorWalter406 thewesternnews.com/news/2026…

Arizona's anti-"dark money" law may still ultimately be ruled unconstitutional, but it's survived long enough to drastically change the landscape of speech and association in Arizona.

You, the voter and taxpayer, have the final say in what happens at the Idaho Legislature, but only if you cast your ballot. Don’t leave that decision to someone else. Vote by November 3.
