you can survive around a thousand snakes and still get hurt by a butterfly. not everybody who comes to hurt you will look dangerous. some people will look like the safest place to be. so don't rush into be friends with someone. even children know how to knock on your door, run away and leave you wondering who was there. give people time to show you who they really are before handing them the keys to your heart. life is too short to move through it without thinking about the choices you're making. protect your heart, choose your people wisely and appreciate the fact that you're still here.
