Apparently, asking trans-ID people not to go to some swim sessions in one pool (despite having TWO OTHER POOLS to use) is "deeply distressing". Which is interesting language given the tests for harm in the Conversion Practices Bill. @akuareindorf @BinTheBill_ @roseveniceallan.

Attention to detail matters when approving legislation.
Beyond that, we expect elected representatives to engage with the arguments for and against, not put out one-sided statements.
So @RachelTaylorMP first thing: it's Falkner, not Faulkner. Attention to detail matters.
In the same vein, please explain where in the Bill we can find the "significant safeguards" to protect "legitimate - even challenging - conversations" with parents and faith leaders. Thanks.

Edward Lord is behind this, and the story brings together two strands of trans activism, the Ladies Pond and the infiltration of professional therapy bodies by trans activists
He had a relationship with Meg John Barker, they both identify as non-binary. He (or is it they) is trying to destroy women's rights to single sex spaces and she (they) is imposing trans activist policies at @BACP having authored their highly contentious Gender Sex and Relationship Diversity Guidelines and the phrase 'don't yuk someone else's yum'

A new law that risks criminalising parents who question whether their children are trans must be scrapped, MPs, peers and experts have demanded.
‘Gender’, as opposed to sex, is an anti-scientific myth. If a child with a penis announces that he is really a girl, parents and teachers have a positive duty to educate him in the scientific truth that he is a boy.
Of course no parent should use physical or psychological abuse for any reason. But if anyone should be prosecuted it is those who abuse their duty of care by encouraging children in the anti-scientific delusion that they can choose their own sex.

Honesty and accuracy are lacking in the reporting by BBC Wales. They know this is a man yet they obfuscate.
Their readership deserves better.
This is a man.
The person in the photograph looks like a man.
Yet the first sentence of this BBC Wales story says he altered a date on “her” passport.
The next sentence introduces “Katie Wallis, who uses female pronouns and was formerly known as Jamie Wallis”.
Katie is typically a female name. Jamie can be either a male or a female name. Neither tells readers his sex.
“Uses female pronouns” explains the BBC’s choice of language. It doesn’t tell readers that Wallis is male.
Why should readers have to perform mental gymnastics to establish a basic fact about the person being reported on?
Journalism should put accuracy and clarity before ideology.

Ozanne sought out “well-meaning, well-intentioned” people who were "full of love" to pray for her to not be a lesbian. She paid exorcists & therapists. The #ConversionBill she supports would criminalise them all. Bizarre lack of responsibility for her own autonomous decisions.

I am absolutely sickened by the horrendous comments directed at this heroic young woman who did her duty to the very end.
She wasn’t even the Pilot in Command (PIC). Her job at that time was handling all the comms. The male pilot at the controls had already realized the graveness of the situation and had started praying as there was nothing either of them could do to save the aircraft.
Do not listen to the cockpit audio of her last minutes, please. It should not even have been made public.
Nathalia Filgueiras did her duty under the absolute worst of circumstances. She relayed factual information right up until impact while shoulder-rolling at 60° bank at 600 MPH. The information will be invaluable in the investigation.
Even as she knew her short but amazing 20 years of life were about to end, she devoted those last seconds to saving future lives by providing critical information to ground control that will inevitably save lives in the future by preventing these types of crashes. The very definition of Heroism. At only 20 years old. 😭💔🕯️
Please keep her, her family and the other crash victims in your prayers. 💔😭😢🙏
