Why not apply the same logic to English Water companies? 🤔

Mick Lynch is without doubt the standout trade union leader of his generation. Whether that be slapping down politicians live on air, putting ill-informed journalists in their place, or simply being a decent human being and a great friend - Mick, you’re gonna be missed.

Happy birthday & best wishes in retirement to the legend that is Mick Lynch!
As @RMTunion General Secretary, he’s been bold, principled & inspiring — a true champion for his members & the working class.
Mick’s leadership strengthened the union movement & he’ll be sorely missed.

A true working class hero - articulate, informed & a legend of the trade union movement - if only we had politicians like him 🤞

Billionaires should not own social media platforms.
Billionaires should not run our newspapers.
Billionaires should not control our politics.
A free media is a democratic media - a public good that is owned and run by us all.

Why is this breaking news? Butter is £5 and I have to wait 3-5 business weeks for a gp appointment. Please concentrate!

I don’t want to sound like my tinfoil hat is on too tight, but it feels like the mainstream news media is hellbent on pushing Farage towards power. For a party with only five MPs, Reform’s coverage is disproportionately high. They’re almost being positioned as the Opposition.
Labour's polling collapse is historic - but Nigel Farage has overseen a bigger one

How true is this though?
I was made to sit next to a boy who was extremely disruptive in order to ‘help’ him and he did nothing but distract me and get me in trouble for months.
I was expected to change his behaviour, keep him quiet, influence him to concentrate, and basically manage his behaviour!
So I have a few things to say on this pattern:
1. Stop making girls and women responsible for boys and mens’ behaviour
2. If you are a teacher - do not do this to girls in your class, it’s totally unfair on them. It’s your job to address the behaviour of the disruptive student, not hers.
3. Consider how we set the scene for domestic abuse and lives of servitude and managing male behaviour by expecting girls at school to do this when they should be focussing on their education

This is a difficult watch.
Labour MP, Natalie Fleet, squirms when asked why Labour are giving out billions of £ in foreign aid but won’t prioritise British citizens such as the WASPI’s.
They can’t answer it because they deep down know it’s wrong.

Remember this @LizKendall? When you publicly supported #WASPI? Your betrayal has brought anger and devastation to 3.6 million #1950swomen. So much for restoring trust in politics. This is a decision that would make the likes of Boris Johnson blush.
Women are suffering unacceptable hardship because of changes to their state pension age, with 3000 affected in Leicester West alone. This injustice can’t go on. I was proud to sign the @WASPI_Campaign pledge in Parliament today to reaffirm my support for their campaign

When it was politically convenient to do so, Labour backed the WASPI women.
Today they have chosen to betray them.
