I emailed the GIPS board president, Hank McFarland, on July 7th encouraging him to sign the petition to put LB 753 on the ballot. Despite requesting a response, I never heard from him. I followed up today. Hope others follow suit. Feel free to email him: [email protected]

During my campaign, when I suggested to a concerned parent that she could read a book alongside her daughter & engage in developmentally appropriate convos w/her kid, she literally responded: I hate reading. I’m not doing that. She’s just gonna have to stop reading. 🤦🏽♀️
I wanted to high five the daughter and tell her to read all the books even the ones her mom protests. I didn’t. I just replied, “good. You do you.”
