Cancer is a major health burden in Africa and has become the leading killer in Zimbabwe. Africa has the least access to radiotherapy services. #calltoaction @iaeapact @IAEATC @iaeaorg @WHO @AUC_MoussaFaki @SADC_News @ZimTreasury @MoHCCZim @nickmangwana @HeraldZimbabwe @Zimpapers
Radiotherapy is a crucial component of cancer care, yet global access to services, as well as the promising field of theranostics, remains a major problem. A new @TheLancetOncol Commission assesses the current state of access to radiotherapy and theranostics at a global level: buff.ly/4eyoZUE

A former NASA engineer says his team has identified an electrostatic "New Force" that can generate thrust without any propellant, potentially challenging established physics and enabling devices capable of countering Earth's gravity. Dr. Charles Buhler, a longtime NASA veteran and co-founder of Exodus Propulsion Technologies, claims that his group has uncovered a novel force produced purely through electric fields. Their experimental propulsion system creates directional thrust without expelling mass, unlike conventional rockets that rely on large amounts of heavy fuel. If validated, this propellantless technology could revolutionize spaceflight by slashing spacecraft weight and making sustained, fuel-free exploration of deep space possible. The broader scientific community remains cautious. A reactionless drive of this kind would appear to contradict Newton's third law and the conservation of momentum. Earlier claims for "impossible" engines, such as the EmDrive, were ultimately debunked after careful testing eliminated experimental artifacts. Buhler's extensive expertise in electrostatics, developed at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, gives the announcement more credibility than most fringe proposals. Nevertheless, the results require rigorous independent replication and peer-reviewed validation before they can be accepted as a genuine breakthrough.

On this day in 1925, mathematician Klaus Roth was born. At Cambridge, he struggled with examinations and graduated with third-class honours. One of his tutors advised him to abandon mathematics and find a commercial job. In 1955, Roth solved a major problem in number theory concerning how closely algebraic irrational numbers can be approximated by fractions. In 1958, he received the Fields Medal. The student once discouraged from pursuing mathematics had become one of the world's leading number theorists.

Our second product is called Blindsight and it will, as the name suggests, enable even those who are completely blind or have never seen to see. It is ready from an engineering standpoint. Just waiting on regulatory approval.
Neuralink’s first product is called Telepathy. It enables high-speed communication with computers or humans simply by thinking. Output bandwidth will vastly exceed the fastest human speech or typing in a few years. Read that sentence again.

For Rio Ngumoha to look THIS comfortable up against Josh Acheampong one of the finest touchline defenders in England is scary. He is always in such control of his motions; maintaining balance whilst riding contact, decelerating/accelerating with ease and such intent with each carry. The best teenager in England.
