Good point from @hbkazemi33. Most of the "manufacturing jobs" charts and stats on here include managers. The numbers for production and nonsupervisory workers look a little different. Down 84,000 since January 2025. (Link in reply)

A real statesmen and most deserving of a 2nd term.
Side note, real men take defeat with honor; they don't trash their country and its institutions to try and keep power.

We are a nation of dimwitted rubes, I literally laughed out loud when I read this.
In a new poll, 15% of Americans said they believe between 1 and 5% of NCAA athletes are transgender.
14% think between it's between 6 and 25%.
Meanwhile, an NCAA spokesperson confirmed that the current number is "effectively" zero

US automakers might be able to hide behind government favoritism at home, but export markets are going to dry up as American cars become less competitive.
Clifford Winston asks the right questions here:
In this day and age of precision drones and missiles, there is no excuse for targeting of civilians.
This is intentional.
This is a war crime.
Trump’s assistance to Putin makes the US complicit in war crimes.

For a bit of political economy perspective, this is the Biden economy vs. the Trump economy (Trump's presidency is highlighted)
It's a mistake to give Biden credit for the job growth, but it is correct to blame Trump for most of these job losses.

I think it’s mostly lame that MAGA and Fox types are trying to make the Saddam-Cheesecake Factory line into an outrage. But I think it’s hilarious that nearly all of them are offended on behalf of the Cheesecake Factory and not Trump. I haven’t heard anyone defend Trump’s interior design. The logic of their freakout is, “How dare you say the Cheesecake Factory looks like the Trump White House!? The Cheesecake Factory is awesome!”

1/10 In my latest for @AIER, I argue that America already has a conception of the common good, rooted in its founding. It is ordered liberty, sustained by constitutional institutions. The real threat to that common good came from progressivism, not classical liberalism.
Well deserved award. The administration is lying, and LaPorta revealed the truth. this took actual courage, grit and damned good reporting.
I won a @Milreporters Award for two stories I wrote about the Iranian drone that killed six Americans in Kuwait at the start of the U.S.-Iran war. @SeanParnellASW disputed the reporting. He said it was a "secured facility" because it had 6-foot walls, soldiers on the ground disagreed.

I’ve been in a war as you can see me here commanding my tank. I can tell you that war is awful and every last person who sounded just like you, stayed home.

"If submitting a housing permit application on the same day, the average aspiring homeowner who wants to build in Miami, San Francisco or Boston — the cities with the longest permitting times — will still be stuck in paperwork when the average aspiring homeowner in Indianapolis, El Paso, Colorado Springs, Phoenix or Fort Worth is moving into a completed home."
