Many people I hadn't seen in years, even a few i genuinely forgot, found me again during the liberation (because my tweets were going viral then) and sent me dms congratulating me & sharing how my tweets over the yrs helped them understand Syria & it genuinely made me tear up :')

Allah describes those who “donate in prosperity and adversity, control their anger, and pardon others.”
What strikes me is how much goodness here requires acting against what you feel entitled to do. Hardship gives you a reason to withhold, anger gives you a reason to retaliate, being wronged gives you a reason to keep holding someone accountable. Yet you give, restrain yourself and forgive.
The difficulty of doing these things does not make your goodness less sincere. It reveals how much you are willing to overcome for Allah.

أوقات بفتح تويتر وبقرأ كلام قذر ومن قذارته ما بتخيل إنه هالبشر موجودين معنا ع الأرض! ما أتوقع الوساخة والقذارة اللي شفتها بهالبرنامج ممكن أشوفها بأي مكان آخر.. نفسي ما أتأثر كثير وأخذ نظرة عن انحلال المجتمعات من هون ولا عن نظرة الرجال المقرفة للنساء ولا عن انعدام الحيا والخجل.

Islamic University of Madinah Bans Books of 100 Islamic Scholars
The Islamic University of Madinah has imposed a ban on books by 100 scholars.
Among the scholars blacklisted were the founding members of the Islamic University of Madinah, Maulana Abu A'la al-Maududi and Sheikh Abul Hasan al-Nadwi.
Among the scholars blacklisted who are currently detained include Sheikh Abdul Aziz al-Tarafe, Sheikh Salman al-Awdah, Sheikh Muhammad Musa al-Shareef, Sheikh Suleiman al-Alwan, Sheikh Nasser al-Omar and Sheikh Safar al-Hawali.
Books by Imam Hasan al-Banna and Syed Qutb are also banned.

Everyone in Daraa knows us; we are a family who work night and day to put bread on the table. We want an official explanation from the Syrian state, from the Jordanian state, from the International Coalition: what was the reason for the strike? What did we do to Jordan for them to strike us? We go into Jordan with respect and we go into the Gulf with respect and we come back from Jordan and the Gulf with respect; we are well known and we work as truck drivers and my father is a schoolteacher.
We are an independent state on what basis do you enter and target? If you have demands, file them with the state. You don't go in and target people.“ #Syria
