🚨How Will @GinaHinojosaTX Impact Texas's #Oil and #Gas Industry? When thinking about this it is key to keep the following facts about Texas’s governmental system in mind: ◾️Texas has a weak governor by design. Hinojosa will be able to do her best to influence policy makers, but the real power is in the legislature and the array of commissions which regulate various aspects of the economy. ◾️The Lt. Governor’s office is more powerful since that office presides over the Senate. That office will be held by another Democrat - Vikki Goodwin - but will still sport a near-2/3rds majority Republican Senate. That majority will be the ONLY lever of statewide power the Republicans now hold, God help us. ◾️The Texas Railroad Commission will still sport a 2-1 GOP majority, at least for the coming two years. So, excessive regulation from that body is unlikely to be a problem. ◾️It is also important to note that Democrats also swept every seat on the state’s Supreme Court and Court of Criminal Appeals, all of which had previously been held by Republicans. This makes it far more likely that big litigation/lawfare could be used by Democrat/leftwing interests to slow the industry’s progress. Given all that, here are some key points on ways Hinojosa will have to impact the state's thriving energy sector: ◾️Again, the governor’s office is weak by design. Under Texas’s plural executive, the governor doesn’t run the Railroad Commission, can’t write severance tax law and doesn’t set gasoline prices. The real levers are the veto, appointments, special sessions and the bully pulpit. ◾️Republicans still hold the Railroad Commission 2-1. Democrat Jon Rosenthal beat Bo French for the open seat after Jim Wright lost the GOP runoff, making him the first Democrat on the commission since 1990. Christi Craddick and Wayne Christian keep the majority, though it is important to note that these two have frequently diverged on specific hearings and cases. ◾️Hinojosa’s one real lever there is vacancies. If a commissioner resigns or dies, the governor fills the seat until the next election under the state’s vacancy laws, and a Hinojosa appointee to the RRC could flip the majority. At that point, a Democrat majority could theoretically wreak havoc on the industry. ◾️Her oil and gas record while in the legislature is about methane. In 2025 she filed HB 1174, which would have required a gas capture plan with every drilling permit, and HB 1190, which targeted flaring on Permanent University Fund land. Both died in committee. That is permitting strings rather than a drilling ban, and I found nothing showing her proposing a ban on drilling or fracking. ◾️Her signature campaign promise is on power bills. She says she’ll direct the PUC to freeze residential electricity rates until data centers and other big users “pay for themselves.” Most Texans buy from competitive retailers whose prices the state doesn’t set, so how a freeze would work is unclear. ◾️She will be able appoint all five PUC commissioners and the TCEQ commissioners when their terms expire, which shapes ERCOT market design and air permitting over time. ◾️She wants more wind and solar on the grid but is skeptical of the 765-kV lines proposed by ERCOT and the PUC to move renewable generated power to market centers. Her platform wants “better ways to get wind, solar, and other clean and affordable energy onto the grid” while opposing “trampling” property owners to build 765-kV transmission in record time. ◾️Wanting more renewables while slow-walking the wires that carry them is energy absurdity in a nutshell. On the other hand, anything that slows down further overloading the @ERCOT grid with unreliable, weather-reliant generation is a net positive. ◾️She ran against data centers and Abbott’s moratorium, even though Abbott’s freeze invoked the same “data centers must bring their own power gen” requirement she favors. Go figure. ◾️She accused Abbott of letting data centers multiply, and he answered in a political panic with his “temporary” moratorium. Had Abbott won, the moratorium would have quickly ended. Hinojosa’s win could allow her to keep extending it for a variety of justifications. ◾️The Legislature boxes her in, but less so than it might have before Tuesday. Republicans kept the Senate at either 19-12 or 18-13, while Democrats flipped the House for the first time since 2003 and Goodwin beat Patrick. The GOP Senate writes the rules that give the lieutenant governor her power, and it can block any anti-industry bill. ◾️The money collected by the state from oil and gas is hard to touch because it is so critical to funding the state government. In FY2025, oil and gas production taxes brought in $7.86 billion (about 9% of state tax collections), royalties added $2.92 billion, and the Rainy Day Fund sits at a record $24.8 billion. Severance tax rates are set in statute, so changing them takes both chambers, including that Republican Senate. ◾️All in all, the outcomes of those judicial elections could prove much more damaging to the state’s industry than Hinojosa’s win over Abbott. Bottom line: We need to take a real-world view that Hinojosa’s a committed leftwing ideologue and her election is a net negative for sure. But the real potential damage coming to the Texas oil and gas industry is far more likely to come from the courts than the Governor’s mansion. That is all.

Many Texans are waking up today asking “How could this happen?!?” There is plenty of blame to go around for the results of last nights midterm election in Texas. This post might anger some, but guess what…we are angry too, and someone has to state the facts in hope some learn from this. Greg Abbott- • Invited H1B Visa workers to Texas. • Took money from and welcomed islamist to Texas • Took money from and welcomed India into Texas • Failure to Push Property Tax Elimination • Failure to Deliver Monument Protection • COVID Mandates and Business Closures • Failure to Secure the Texas Border • Entertaining Red Flag Gun Laws After Santa Fe school shooting. RINO’s IN THE TEXAS LEGISLATURE • You gave Democrats Committee Chair positions (which won’t happen for R’s now) • Failure to Eliminate Property Taxes • Failure to Ban Taxpayer-Funded Lobbying • Failure to Close Republican Primaries • Failure to End Civil Asset Forfeiture • Failure to Require E-Verify for All Employers • Failed to pass Monument Protection • Failure to Pass Priority Border-Enforcement Reforms • Failure to Expand Attorney General Authority to Prosecute Election Crimes • Failure to Deliver Requested Paper-Ballot and Precinct-Counting Reforms THOSE WHO FLED BLUE STATES ONLY TO VOTE BLUE. If you left blue states because you couldn’t afford to stay or were fed up with how those states were governed, then came here and voted like you did there, you are part of the problem. Moving solves your address, but voting for the same blue politicians brings the problems you left behind here with you. You are part of the problem! SUPPOSED CONSERVATIVES WHO PROTEST VOTED, DIDN’T VOTE, OR VOTED FOR A DEMOCRAT. Those who call themselves conservative but voted third party, stayed home, or voted for a socialist democrat need to own the consequences of their choices. Frustration with Republican politicians failures is understandable, but letting anger and disappointment outweigh a clear assessment of the outcome cost Texas dearly last night and it empowered the very policies you claim to oppose. What was at stake went beyond dissatisfaction with Republican politicians—it included Texas’s future, our ability to live to fight another day, and you spent that time trashing candidates and stroking your self-righteous egos. Splitting the conservative vote or refusing to participate helped Democrats win. You played a role in that. You had the opportunity to hold Republican leaders that failed conservatives Texans accountable in the primaries. You failed in the primaries, and should have voted red so you could live to fight another day (next primaries). You should have weighed the consequences before a protest vote or sitting this election out. Your frustration may explain your decision; it doesn’t erase its impact it had on Texas. Those who voted for the enemy (socialist Democrats) directly strengthened their party and helped usher in these consequences. You cannot call yourself a conservative, you are a fake and a sellout. You flat out betrayed the principles you claimed to have and you should be ashamed of yourself. [Final Note] I hope all of those listed above are happy with yourselves, and you don’t get to complain when these consequences start happening. This was your doing. Like the post began with, this may anger some, so be it, but the truth is the truth. No excuses will redeem yourself.

TALARICO TAPES: Williamson County Democratic Chair and James Talarico’s Girlfriend’s Family Reveal to O’Keefe That Talarico Is Portraying Himself as a Moderate to Win Over Texas Voters, but Privately Holds Very Progressive Positions on Border Security, Immigration, Abortion, and Transgender Surgeries for Minors “James [Talarico], he's not going middle.” “He's [Talarico] definitely going to play the middle ground because he's in Texas. but he is a lot more progressive on it [abortion].” “Don't put too much stock into border security comments…“He [Talarico] and I have spoken about these issues.” “He [Talarico] probably said that to try to make himself appear more centrist. He's very liberal…but we've got to get elected, so we can do something.” @jamestalarico @texasdemocrats @wilcotnyd @wilcotxgov @kimg_atx

🚨 FACT CHECK THIS, TEXAS! In 2019, James Talarico voted NO on permanently banning a state income tax in the Texas Constitution. The House passed it 100 to 42. Talarico was one of the 42. Texans approved the ban anyway, with more than 74% of the vote. Now he wants you to believe he has "always" been against an income tax. Texas, finish the job on Election Day.

Why the hell does the census count illegals in the first place?
BREAKING: 44 members of Congress, led by @RepMaryMiller, have signed onto a letter DEMANDING that the national census ONLY count American CITIZENS and NOT illegal aliens. This 100% needs to happen. Illegal aliens are not Americans. Counting them dilutes the voice of the American people. This is how Democrats cheat

Ram Chhetri came to the US as a refugee, but this might be worst day of his life: It's the moment he realizes the $80k-$160k/year salary he's bilked from Medicaid for no-show work is coming to an end because @realdailywire caught the truth on camera. We conducted months of surveillance that shows why "home care aide" is now the *most common job* in states like NY, CA, MN, and PA: Because a large part of those jobs are unambiguous Medicaid fraud. Thanks to home care, Bhutanese refugees now make more money than actual PA families. The state doesn't just look the other way, but helps them get away with it. Converting federal health dollars into a universal basic income for certain communities relieves the financial burden they place on the state. The scammers easily deceive the feds' woefully broken monitoring system. You'll see Ram pull into a driveway for 2 minutes in the morning, then 2 minutes in the evening. He clocks in and out of his shift from the right place, and the GPS system doesn't notice that he goes home in between. $20 an hour doesn't sound like much, but at 77 hours a week, it's $80k–and it's easy to bill huge hours when you don't actually have to work them. And that's just for the low-level guys in this scheme.

🚨 HOLY SMOKES. DOJ is now investigating CCTV footage from Lewiston, Maine City Hall that appears to show Somali NGO "translators" coaching migrant voters and even FILLING OUT their ballots, per Maine Wire IMAGINE THAT. USUAL SUSPECTS. The U.S. Attorney for Maine, Andrew Benson, confirmed his office is reviewing the early voting video: "We will not tolerate threats to the integrity of our elections." Roughly 140 hours of security footage obtained by The Maine Wire reportedly shows 200+ non-English-speaking Somali voters walked through the process by a handful of NGO staffers Under Maine law, translators can't approach voters unasked, can't influence their choices, and can't touch the ballot! And instead of cracking down, the Democrat mayor tried to BLOCK photojournalists from documenting it 😡 With Susan Collins' seat on the line Tuesday, this needs to be clamped down on NOW! Trump's DOJ is watching for cheating all over the country, from Maine to California noncitizen ballots too Democrats will stop at nothing to steal our elections. This is why we need to keep them out of power and swamp them.
