My Reading Journey Series...📚 𝟯. 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗹𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 by 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗶 I just finished reading this book, and I am honestly amazed. I dont feel like I just read a book. I feel like I lived through it. This is the story of the 𝗠𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗮 told through the eyes of 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗽𝗮𝗱𝗶 Reading it felt as if Vyasa himself had given me the divine vision to witness everything. I felt so many emotions while reading. At times I was angry with Draupadi, at times I felt sorry for her, and many times I admired her strength as a queen. Sometimes I couldn't understand her, and other times I understood her better than anyone. She knew what fate had planned for her, but she couldn't escape it. Knowing your future doesn't always mean you have the power to change it. The friendship between Krishna and "Krishnaa" (as he lovingly called Draupadi) was one of the most beautiful parts of the book. It felt both divine and deeply human. People often say Draupadi caused the great war. But She was never the reason for the war. She was the mirror that revealed everything that was already broken pride, silence, twisted ideas of dharma, the hunger for power, and the failure of men to protect what was right. This book made me feel, think, and question many things. It is one of the most powerful retellings of the Mahabharata I have ever read.
