All the Gurugram Municipal Corporation needs to do is to repair all broken roads so that the dust particles don’t ruin our lives. They’ve not even cleared garbage post Monsoons
Gurugram has enforced strict anti-pollution curbs from 5th November, mandating a 50% work-from-home policy for government and private offices to cut down vehicular congestion and road emissions. The administration has also imposed a ban on construction and demolition activities.

Citizens face penalties of ₹20k for not carrying a valid #PUC certificate even when the absence of one does not, by itself, establish that their vehicle is emitting excessive pollution.
But who is held accountable for the pollution caused by administrative apathy?
Look at the SPR stretch near St. Xavier’s School and the IFC Social crossing. Crater-ridden roads, incomplete works, dust clouds and traffic congestion force commuters to crawl through polluted air. Fuel is wasted, productivity suffers, and taxpayers ultimately bear the cost.
13+ years of delays & the saga continues. The government loses public money through wasted fuel and inefficiency, while citizens pay with their time, money and health.
If citizens must follow rules and face penalties, why should bureaucrats, departments and elected representatives not face equally meaningful accountability for prolonged failures within their responsibility?
We may project India's global ambitions, but what about the quality of life at home? Gurugram is barely 50 km from #CentralVista, yet commuters continue to struggle for basic road infrastructure.
Perhaps we should stop calling Gurugram part of the National Capital Region until its civic infrastructure and governance begin to reflect that status.
Just review the 1 min. video and image this happens over 24 hrs and has been happening over the past so many months.

Introduce cleaner construction techniques, strictly enforce construction-dust norms, and mandate effective demolition-dust containment, including compliance during traditional stone-cutting and other dust-generating activities. Stop illegal malba dumping and remove the mountains of construction debris choking Gurugram. Most importantly, improve ambient air quality in residential sectors and protect residents from the daily burden of dust and pollution.
We have already written to CAQM on these concerns. CAQM has, in turn, marked our letters to MCG and HSPCB.
Why demolish relatively recent homes and burden settled colonies when suitable new areas could be planned and developed with infrastructure in place upfront?
Plan S+4Flr in new sectors wherein activities can be planned without causing structural damages and dust and noise pollution in well settled neighbourhoods.

Accountability to Be Fixed for Delays in Resolving Public Grievances: Deputy Commissioner Shri Uttam Singh
Deputy Commissioner Shri Uttam Singh reviewed complaints received through CM Window, CM Jan Samvad, CPGRAMS and Samadhan Shivirs at the Mini Secretariat, Gurugram, and directed officials to ensure their timely and effective resolution.
✔️ Fix accountability of officers and employees for unnecessary delays in resolving complaints.
✔️ Ensure actual resolution of public grievances instead of merely updating their status on portals.
✔️ Review reopened complaints, identify shortcomings in previous action and take corrective measures.
✔️ Ensure coordination among departments in cases involving multiple departments.
✔️ Record complete, factual and transparent details of action taken in Action Taken Reports (ATRs), along with supporting documents and signatures of the competent authority.
✔️ Continue Samadhan Shivirs at the sub-divisional level without interruption to ensure timely grievance redressal.
Earlier, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini, during a state-level review meeting with Deputy Commissioners through video conferencing, directed officials to address public grievances with seriousness and sensitivity and ensure that citizens do not have to make repeated visits to government offices.
The focus is on transparent administration, effective grievance redressal and accountability to ensure timely solutions to public problems.
