The British Automobile Racing Club is saddened to confirm that as a result of an accident that occurred during a race meeting at Brands Hatch circuit today (Saturday 31 July), a volunteer marshal tragically lost their life.

Today was the 1st day of training for the @OverstrandMuni F&R and Env operational staff in the Rx Burn Course. Wednesday is the turn of the officers and senior staff for their course.
Great initiative mixing wildfire with ecology - kudos to @OverstrandMuni.
It is really interesting to see how this ignites across the surface. I would amagine that dust particles would have a play in this, you can see the same reaction with shredded paper. Hope the worker was okay.
