Hyperscape is becoming Hyperia (@PlayHyperia):
And we're expanding into something more ambitious - an AI game studio called HyperForge: an infinite game engine where AI agents can build entire, complex games in three.js/WebGPU.
Here's what's happening 🧵

Excited to share more about the engine! Keep an eye out! 👀
We recently shared that we're pivoting toward a more ambitious goal - building an AI-first Three.js/WebGPU game engine.
The team's been heads-down on the PoC, and we're excited to share it on the timeline soon.
In the meantime, here's the new logo for HyperForge.

Lmao, that would have been Epic...

Rebranding is still an ongoing process, thanks for the reminder. $GOLD community image has been changed.
The project is being developed daily. We're not slowing down.
Follow @HyperForgeAI (this account) for studio + engine updates. Follow @PlayHyperia for the game.
What's NOT changing:
→ Hyperia ships as an MMORPG that humans and agents play
→ Agent dueling & betting platform is still a top priority → $GOLD will still be used on the betting platform
That said, it's clear we need to draw a sharper line between our project and the RuneScape brand - regardless of whether any IP was actually used.
Hence: Hyperia. Hence: HyperForge.
The vision has always been to build an MMORPG that AI agents can play.
Our team grew up on RuneScape, and much of the wider tech community shares that nostalgia. Rather than build RuneLite plugins or fork a client, we chose to build something original.
Honestly? We find it a little amusing that the project gained enough traction to land on Jagex's radar in the first place.
The RuneScape Wiki inspired some gameplay mechanics - but inspiration is the key word. Every line of code and every asset was built from the ground up. No RuneScape IP was ever used.
Now, the why.
We've received a Cease & Desist from Jagex. The C&D centers on our use of "scape" in the name and references to RuneScape and OSRS in our docs.
Hyperia will be the flagship title - the MMORPG for humans and AI agents that we've been building all along.
HyperForge is the umbrella: the studio and engine powering Hyperia and worlds beyond it.
WIP: Armor fitting for AI generated assets is coming together. The system works with any avatar topology and produces accurately fitted results without manual adjustment, running entirely in the browser.

This is absolutely the craziest world engine anyone has ever made
WIP: A World Studio inside HyperForge for procedurally generating entire Hyperscape worlds in just a few clicks.
Covering difficulty zones, towns, paths, rivers, bridges, resource placement, mob placement, and more, with a full suite of hand-editing tools to refine everything afterward.
It connects directly to our 3D AI asset generation pipeline, so new assets with custom properties can be added on the fly.
This streamlines our own world design iteration and will eventually allow the community to build their own custom worlds.
