Lost in the deluge of fertility discourse is the simple fact that the default state of the female is resistance. Because she is burdened with the costly large gamete, the female has no sense of duty towards reproduction and instead has the opposite: a steadfast obstinacy against it. There are no charts and graphs that will inspire surrender. The difficult task of drawing fertility from the stubborn female is a primordial struggle waged not on the mind or heart but the amygdala. But the male weapons which were developed for this millennia-old war are in a sorry state. In our enlightenment, we sought to bring equality between the sexes, and this required costly engineering. The social contract was rewritten and the legal codes reformed. Now, the male goes out in search of a mate without his weapons of war. His plumage has been plucked, his talons clipped, and his fangs dulled. And what of the female? Not only is she as obstinate as ever, but she has the surgeon's hooks trained at her womb and the State's army aimed at her would-be suitor. The price of equality will be extinction and no number of charts and graphs will change this.
I’ve noticed that when I bring up the concept of humans and “duty”—to family, to community, to nature—men (generally) are like “yeah!” On the other hand, women (generally) get 𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘭𝘺 defensive. Why is this?

Everyone is focused too much on Iran and missing the big picture of what Trump and Rubio are doing. China used cheap discounted oil from Venezuela and Iran to fill it's oil reserves. About 50% of Venezuela oil and 90% of Iranian oil went to China. Those two sources have been cutoff. Venezuelan oil now goes mostly to Texas and India. The big strategy is about limiting energy supplies to China. If China cannot sure stable oil imports, that neuters China's ability to impose it's strategy against other countries. The talking heads are trying to claim Iran is winning by surviving. But the reality on the group (and sea) is that the USA is in a strong position. The US stock market is near all time highs. The US Treasury market is doing fine. Investments are still pouring into the USA (and fleeing Europe) due to high European high energy prices and regulations that strangling economic growth.

Conservative Christians who make up a large portion of the Right are often the lone bulwark fighting AGAINST the creation of right-wing art. They tolerate the classics because of their historical value, but if new art is created with similar themes, these Christians object. Would the "moral majority" buy or praise a modern equivalent to The Oedipus Cycle, Romeo & Juliet or Jane Eyre? Would they buy the newest release with themes of incest, teenage love or forbidden sexual tension for their children? Good art wrestles with the deepest, darkest parts of our humanity, and forces us to reckon with our depravity and animal nature. The stories that result necessarily have disturbing themes: murder, violence, sex, fornication, adultery, etc. And the artists who are able to grasp these subjects are often disordered themselves. A modern conservative Christian wouldn't hesitate to add Oscar Wilde or Walt Whitman to a classical Christian curriculum, but certainly would object to the modern homosexual equivalent like Sufjan Stevens. Why? The discomfort for the naked truths that art presents is often so intense with modern Christians, they object even to classical nudes and won't even expose their children to artwork with naked figures. How is a modern artist like @kendrictonn supposed to gain a following among such a crowd? This problem isn't new. Artists have been battling the strict sensibilities of American Christians for centuries. The works that successfully snuck through have been elevated into into the "classical" cannon and ironically are now staples of classical Christian education. What new books are we adding to the cannon for our posterity? If the Christian Right had its way, the answer would be none.
For all the respect I have for Chris Rufo as an activist, I have to push back, because this tweet represents a fundamental misunderstanding of how culture works, how art works, how passion works, and, consequently, why conservative art projects inevitably fail. There may be many problems with the conservative audience and "conservative"-aligned creators, but the biggest problem is still that the money isn't being directed properly. For those in the position to direct all those "billions of dollars, sloshing around inside the mainstream conservative sphere, we need to learn a lot of lessons First, it’s not hard to see how money flows through mainstream conservative institutions like "The Daily Wire" or "Angel Studios"; we can judge them by their fruits. Is all of it bad? Of course not. I have seen a lot of Angel Studios and Daily Wire films, and they were entertaining enough, but they all had a certain ant-smell to them that made them both unartistic and fundamentally misaligned with the kind of work conservatives should be producing in the modern world. The conservative media also felt not a little like... well... slop. This is because these organizations develop content in a very predictable way, leading to predictable output. Undoubtedly, conservatives think like this: "We conservatives are underserved by the evil mainstream media. Therefore, we need a new media company to produce content that appeals to conservatives!" "What are the conservative demographics?" 1. Older Boomers who watch Fox News 2. Evangelical Christians, with tastes curated by highly conscientious and risk-averse wives and mothers 3. Working-class rural people 4. Middle-class millennial men who feel alienated by cultural developments after 2011 So, inevitably, the conservative production companies produce their standard fare: safe retreads of popular genres from three decades ago, bland long-house renditions of bible stories with the edges sanded off, and carbon copies of Hollywood genre films popular in the early 2000s. Unsurprisingly, these products feel like bland over-optimized retreads. But they are in some direct way "What the audience wanted" and "what the talent produced". After all, in terms of "hitting key metrics" and optimizing on return, this is how you do it. This is what a consultant will tell you to do. This is what our modern social media algorithms do as well. This is also exactly how you get slop. No one cares about these conservative pieces of media after they debut because they contain no artistry, no purpose, and no love. To be at least a little artistic, in order not to be slop, and an entertainment product must do two things: 1. It must make people love it, not just like it or be mildly placated by it. 2. It must point people towards higher spiritual aspirations that they don't encounter in their ordinary lives. Obviously, algorithmically optimized content doesn't do either of these two things, and neither does the focus-grouped pandering that you see in conservative media. Ultimately, conservatives have to get over a critical, flawed conception about art, namely that it is a demand-driven consumer product. It is not. Art is designed to lead people, not follow their desires. It's not supposed to give audiences what they already say they want; it's supposed to show them what they should want. It's aspirational. Therefore, not all consumer dollars are equal. The dollars that follow prestigious culture (people with vision, and tastemakers) lead to products that last. Those who chase median consumer demand produce forgettable products. Conservatives lament this because they see this logic robbing them of the mainstream culture in the 70s when programming like MASH and All in the Family were prioritized over more popular shows that did better numbers. But that new, more activist, technically less popular programming is what people needed, and it’s what they remembered going forward. Popular entertainment is no different from art, and art leads. Which is why following either a prestigious tastemaker class or building on an interesting underground pulp movement is always the better long-term strategy than pumping out stuff for the median consumer. Just look at any property now celebrated in mainstream nerd culture, from Tolkien to Lovecraft to Conan the Barbarian. It all started as a money-losing venture. It was an aspirational project to create, a labor of love. And being aspirational, it’s not just about taking risks, not on the craziest shit ever. It’s about giving people better things. Case in point, my classic question: “Why doesn’t the Daily Wire make Shakespeare movies?” They don’t make Shakespeare because it makes less money than slop. But having a few really good Shakespeare productions under your belt is better than money. It gives you prestige and makes you a symbol of something that’s better than Hollywood. Progressives understand this reality; conservatives do not. Leftists spend millions on niche art projects designed to appeal to small minorities or groups of academics because they KNOW that being loved is the most important thing, that creating a product that a few people re-read and organize their lives around is better than having something that millions are just sorta kind of ok with. So sure, with all the millions and billions sloshing around, looking to make good conservative art, you could blame the audience and the creators. Even when talent and demand are evident in numerous examples. But, doing so misses the point that you are fighting the wrong battle. This is a war of belief, and if you aren’t showing people what is worthy of love and aspiration, then you aren’t actually fighting it.

Submissive women are the only women men should be willing to date. Dating or marrying a feminist dominant woman will only lead in heartbreak and divorce.

I think what we're finally seeing is newly unrestrained base human nature revealing itself for what it really is and always has been. The destruction of the western marriage covenant and contraceptive technology have unchained our worst biological impulses. Women have always been hypergamous. Men have always been novelty seeking. These are simply inborn facts that are inextricably linked to our production of either the large or small gametes. Human nature has not changed, but we've eliminated the forcing functions that historically harnessed our impulses to drive young people into monogamous marriage. When young couples in 1770s colonial America got carried away and went too far physically, the resulting pregnancy and social expectations forced those young people into a life-long marriage bond. A third of babies born during this time were conceived out of wedlock. Now, when a young woman goes too far with her boyfriend, there is no mechanism to funnel her into marriage. Hormonal contraceptives have virtually guaranteed there will be no pregnancy, so she is free to continue making the same mistake over and over again. With young men, there is no clear pathway for the bottom 80% of men to enter marriage. With all the dressings of western civilization removed, we have regressed to primitive polygamy where the women are horded by the top 20% of men. It's a disgusting, revolting system. The ick is very real but the blame is misplaced. There is nothing fundamentally broken with modern women or modern men. Both are mearly acting on impulses that have always been with us but have historically been restrained or utilized for productive ends. Many of these problems can not be solved on an individual level. The institutions must be rebuilt, and the forcing functions reinstated.
Mankind and womankind now feel the ick toward one another. Each believes it has finally glimpsed the truth of its mate, and having been seen, it can’t be unseen. The blaming and shaming sound exactly like an ugly divorce. And of course, posterity is caught in the crossfire.
