Music videos in the early 2000s really gave me inflated expectations about how good interior design was gonna be when I became an adult. Now it’s all not even ikea just gray wayfair stuff. U notice most music videos not in somebody’s crib anymore

Aubrey doesn’t miss Dawn. Aubrey misses having access to her & the response DK gets when she’s present.
That last comeback solidified how essential Dawn is. Without her vision, it’s cheap merch, no new music & amateur production.
She’s the creative anchor & they know it! 😂

Worth reading not just to understand how insane Musk is, but how insane we are.
We have allowed this man to become intrinsic to the economy of the United States. No human being, not even the president, is Constitutionally endowed with such powers.
If the next president is a Democrat one of the most important, most dangerous, most painful projects will be wresting control of America's destiny from this madman. It will cause a recession at best, the destruction of millions of retirement accounts, and jeopardize national security for years.
But the alternative is civilizational suicide.

MONA ADDRESSES CARDI B CONTROVERSY, SAYS COLORISM PLAYS A ROLE IN SUCCESS
Cardi B argued that some people don't get opportunities because they aren't smart enough to market themselves and sell themselves in important rooms.
Mona: “I just thought she was so wrong about it.”
“Cardi is very talented, Cardi better than a lot of people.”
“But If there was a girl that did exactly what I did, and she was big and Black, I can't say that she would make it where I make it.”
“I know part of the reason why I made it here is because I have the complexion for the connection. That's my belief.”

Trump/Republicans phased in two economic bombs for us after the midterms
1. Health insurance premiums will be quadrupling
2. Students loan payment will also quadruple
Pass it on
Replying to @RachelBitecofer
My physician husband's loan repayment also went up $900. Ducking Trump costing us around 43k over 4 years, in addition to completely effing the economy and record inflation. 🤡

And they weren’t a one trick pony either. A MASTERCLASS.
When En Vogue hit SNL in March 1992, they dismantled the myth that girl groups couldn’t sing full-throttle live in heels. Trading leads across Cindy, Dawn, Terry, and Maxine, their dynamic control remained untouchable—from Dawn’s raspy rock bite to Terry’s operatic belts. When they converged on the hook, their four-part harmonies locked in with their blend and zero backing tape. The album dropped 3 days later, proving to themselves and to the world just how Funky, these Divas really are.

How the fuck they gonna finance $800 billion with a junk rating?
Answer: They are not.
This is a Ponzi falling apart. If they push this turkey through to IPO, all rationality has left the building. Everyone involved should go to prison.
BREAKING: Anthropic is now expected to receive a "high junk" rating from major credit rating agencies after its IPO, which could come as soon as November, per FT.
Details include:
1. Blackstone has told investors that Anthropic likely will not receive an investment-grade rating immediately after its IPO
2. Blackstone is working with banks that stumped up financing on selling the debt on to other investors
3. An investment-grade rating is "central" to Anthropic's ability to continue its AI buildout
4. The company says it expects to spend over $800 billion on computing infrastructure between now and 2045
Debt markets are increasingly in the spotlight as AI funding becomes less abundant.

My student loans were taken out based on generous income based repayment plans with monthly payments of around $500.
Now thanks to Trump killing off the SAVE plan for no reason but he hated Biden it will be ballooning to $1400 a month and will end up at 4Xs the loan amounts.
How do I sue for breech of contract??

More Comcast layoffs - 634 jobs at the Philadelphia HQ, starting Dec 31.
This is in addition to the Washington ones I mentioned earlier.
The roles include engineers, product managers, analysts, executive assistants and IT leaders.
The same filing plans 1,100+ new positions, 500+ of them in Philly.
Comcast's statement: "fundamentally redesigning our organization to build a more agile company.
My Comcast source said they're keeping people past year-end to dodge the layoff notices.
Here's the notice. 159 permanent cuts in Washington. They start Dec 31, some people stay into 2027 for 'business continuity,' and the last exit is March 26.
It reaches from construction crews all the way to VPs.

The fight over Alabama's voting maps shows just how low the Roberts Court will go in allowing Republicans to draw Black candidates out of office.
And Montgomery, the birthplace of the civil rights movement, has seen again and again what happens when they lack that representation.
"The neighborhoods that were torn down to build those interstates, that was the heart of the Black business district," said Evan Milligan, executive director of Alabama Forward, a nonpartisan civic advocacy group.
"And when you're driving through Montgomery on the interstate, you're driving on the graves of, like, these neighborhoods."
Milligan took Mother Jones voting rights correspondent Ari Berman on a tour of historic neighborhoods in Montgomery, where the civil rights movement really began. Not only did Milligan retrace key landmarks, like Rosa Parks' birthplace, he showed how white politicians specifically targeted these historically Black neighborhoods and try to demolish them.
"You need representatives who see the humanity in our communities, because when they don't," said Milligan, "they do things like the mid-70s in this state, using public funds to directly assault institutions and neighborhoods that produce Black leaders."
Here's a 3-minute crash course from Ari on what's going on with Alabama's maps.
