Looking for quality with promising long term equilibrium. Opinions irrelevant, but argue with me anyways. Working on @Clarity_Markets

Putting the "sold too early" badge on this one. Was speculative smaller position from X so used it to fund other purchases. Oops! 😅

#1 lesson past 5 years in advertising space is that everything besides $META $GOOGL is a temporary fad and once the illusion breaks it really breaks. Ad space is entirely meemtically driven and Meta Google captured the minds years ago
this one was kinda jaw dropping $TTD

Can anthropic or open AI do this?

Repeatedly failing to grasp that imperfect, unreliable components can be made useful and reliable as parts of larger systems _while still unreliable_ disregards like 70 years of information technology history and is disqualifying

The New Yorkers in question:
Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour: "Well you're going to have a lot of pissed off New Yorkers if we got shut down in New York." New Yorkers have made $200 million trading on Kalshi. That's impossible on a sportsbook, where the house always wins, and they ban the winners.

If this happens it implies really disastrous things about the entire supply chain In other words it won't happen, but is nice rage bait to promote the podcast!
New blog post on what would be true about the world if trendline continues and leading lab hits $1T in revenue by the end of next year. In other words, why compute might get 10x+ more expensive in coming years dwarkesh.com/p/why-compute-m…

Need CVNA and the mega caps to go up more. Right now I have some stuff up 100-200%, CVNA and china down, megas flat. Totally uninteresting overall but with insane dispersion

Ended up being really silly numbers for Q1 and really really really silly numbers for Q2 Can't wait for Q3!
I wonder when $GOOGL and $AMZN starting reporting really silly numbers for cloud growth. This Q? Next Q?

This Fauci diary has some great excerpts, fun read. Some notes -Amazing how useless and incompetent CDC/FEMA/FDA/etc were. -Fauci smart guy but not made for public facing policy -Every politician is insane -The amount of useless celebrity meetups is wild

Ernie on $CVNA call just sounds like they're doing the typical conservative guide for AEBITDA and plan to invest heavily into further growth so giving them some breathing room and cushion to hopefully blow through

Fwiw I think something like this is entirely believable and situationally correct Just that the next step is to start exploring what new tasks to spend more tokens on
Met with the mgmt of one of the largest, most tech-savvy retailers in the world today. Direct quote: “Our compute needs are coming down.”

It's actually kind of crazy how much of a giant pussy everyone is when it comes to mega caps. Like yeah they're growing double digits at 20x earnings for the last 2 decades but the CapEx is going up so I'd rather buy $HSY at 35x

$META results sucked so I'd expect the stock sucks for 3-6 months until Zuckerberg does something to make it not suck and we can all rehash the same arguments from 4 years ago while circlejerking how cool we are for not using Facebook anymore

$CVNA AEBITDA guide a little weak but otherwise pretty much as expected. Continued cost leveraging and beneficial vehicle appreciation offset slightly by higher interest rates. They tend to guide a little light so end of the day its ~20x 2026 AEBITDA, growing topline ~40%

Gemini Flash 3.6 thinks $CVNA sells 200k vehicles for Q2 2026. My data tracking says 199k. Guess we'll see who's closer! Results wise shouldn't be a super interesting quarter, continued growth, more growth in Q3 thus far, probably more growth after that 😅

You don't see this in flashy graphs or anything but Gemini Flash is a total work horse for multi-modal If you have a variety of different input forms it's exceptional. Very solid offering when combined with GCP/Gmail/etc
We might (temporarily) suck at coding, but people forget how good Gemini is at vision.

Models are dramatically better with full context and of course need the compute to serve them. Imo the market view will evolve over time to hate the neoclouds and see AMZN/MSFT forced into deeper lab partnerships. When compute is scarce distancing is easier, won't always b true
every inference provider will need to become a full cloud provider. i don't think there's a world that Anthropic/OAI aren't on a full collision course with GCP/MSFT/AWS
