On a whim, I signed up to head to @VP @KamalaHQ rally. The vibes in line were immaculate. I’m absolutely FLOORED to be able to sit where the speakers will walk out. Now waiting for it all to begin. #womenforharris

The bots have taken over @instagram. This is a snapshot of this morning. @Meta y’all need to do better. No way I’m going to report each of these accounts that keep popping up and are fake.

As we wrap up nurses week, I’m completely blown away to be the recipient of two Penn State Hershey’s Department of Nursing’s Nurses Week awards. The first is the Quality Improvement award for our team’s work in drastically reducing CAUTI from 7.814/1000 patient days to just 1.56/1000 patient days through the implementation of evidence. This work has also received nominations from the Hospital Association of Pennsylvania. The second, is the Manuscript or Publication award for my book, 13 Rules for ICU Nursing. Thank you to our nurse executives for constantly supporting our nurses work, and the profession of nursing for allowing me to continually contribute and change the world. And finally, thank you to those that didn’t believe this was possible. Because it was. Hard work pays off. #nurseaward #criticalcare #doepicshit

Poster 1 and poster 2 at the @PennStHershey and @PSUNursing Translating Research into Innovations in Practice conference. I’m thankful for a colleague who helped me present one of my posters and always thankful for my other colleagues who showed up to support my work. #nursing #nurseeducation #evidencebasedpractice #Innovation

Another day, another 2 posters for one conference. An integrative review on broadband and stroke patients and a systematic review on early mobilization. I’m excited to present these next week with the help of a colleague! #nursetwitter #evidencebasedpractice

The saddest news is when you return home from a long trip and realize that your @taylorswift13 TTPD album was delivered to the wrong address (with photo and video proof). I sincerely hope the address where this was delivered to, enjoys this masterpiece that is #TTPD and enjoys the vinyl. And maybe has a new Taylor swift fan. Here’s to hoping I’ll receive mine soon. 🫶🏼

Just finished up this by @AdamMGrant. I’m doing some major background research on motivation, what drives nurses to complete tasks and do the right thing for items like bundle compliance. This book hit several important areas that I’ll continue to map out! #BookTwitter

An amazing story written by two amazing writers, @jodipicoult and Jennifer Finney Boylan. I didn’t know I needed this book, until I read it. A love and murder story that I’m sure is banned as it tells the tale of a cis male and trans female. And as such, I’ve recommended it to my students.

When public offices read nothing about what the letter of intent says, and diverts to a different statement. What I wrote and what @JohnFetterman office wrote back. Nursing educators are not even getting raises this year to support cost of living, we are stretched trying to find clinical instructors and so much more. This reply misses the mark completely. #nursetwitter #nurseeducation

It was an absolute honor to present at the ANCC Magnet conference for our work at supporting the staff RN, achieve improved audit and charting compliance, and improved our patients modified rankin scores. We utilized a sticker program that staff approved and loved-quite so, that they had their own unique themes of stickers they collected. We used three separate statistical measures to assure that each method was captured. #nursetwitter #outcomes #supportyourstaff
