BA’s details on Dodgers RHP Sam Horn are intriguing. MLB trait comps: • 95–97 FB w/ cut (Glasnow) • Low release (Wheeler) • Great extension (Pivetta) • 82–85 sweeper 14–16” sweep (King) • Deeper 10–12” breaker (Cease) • 87–89 kick CH w/ ~12” armside run & sink (McLean).
Dodgers RHP Sam Horn continued his strong professional debut in the Arizona Fall League, striking out two in his inning of work yesterday. Find out why the former Missouri starting quarterback has caught the eye of evaluators. baseballamerica.com/stories/…

In Sam Dykstra's October 26 MLB Pipeline article: “He’s also worked on a cutter that he hasn’t needed in his one-inning bullpen stints just yet.”

18-year-old pitcher, Shoki Oda, is trying to become the first star out of Japan to sign with an MLB team instead of playing in NPB and the Dodgers are the favorites to sign him 👀 The Dodgers are only MLB team Oda follows on Instagram and he’s stated multiple times he’s aiming to move to America despite being drafted by the Yamiuri Giants. Oda’s situation is similar to Shohei Ohtani who wanted to sign with an MLB team out of high school in 2012 but was convinced by the Nippon Fighters to be a 2-way player in Japan.

The Dodgers are still committed to improving Chase Harlan's defense at third. But if it doesn't work out, he will most likely move to first base
Could this be the future at first base? #Dodgers top 20 prospect Chase Harlan putting work at first base in the @MLBazFallLeague @DodgerPlayerDev @Dodgers2080 #DodgersProspects

Some similarities between #ShokiOda arsenal and Bryce Miller’s. Back-to-back strikeout clips featuring their four-seamers, sliders (including a sweepier variation paired with Miller’s sweeper), and splitters. Aan interesting look at how Oda’s stuff compares to an MLB starter.

Yomiuri Giants drafted #ShokiOda in Round 1, but he's still prioritizing MLB talks. The #Dodgers are reportedly in front. At 18 he's touched 97.6 mph, has feel for a curve and slider, a legit splitter, and good command. Plenty of room to fill out, too. Front-end starter upside.

Dalton Rushing is having a hybrid internal brace procedure on his right elbow that will keep him from catching for nine months, a source confirmed. Could return to hitting before then. @maddie_m_lee was on it.

Andrew Friedman said the improvement Josue De Paula has made defensively from 2025 to 2026 has been notable, and Brandon Gomes said they expect him to keep improving in that area.

Andrew Friedman said surgery is "not on the table" for Shohei Ohtani. Said it was "whack a mole" between the knee, then the biceps throughout the year. Friedman: "I fully expect him to pitch next year."

Teruaki Sato: • Dodgers may like his versatility at 3B/LF/1B (not guaranteed starter as he might cost much $) • Has great bat speed • Swings at everything. Can he improve BB% & Chase% through Dodgers coaching on plate discipline? • Probably destined for small market team

Another thought: • Defensively bad pretty much anywhere but not unathletic... Is his defense still coachable?
