Ximena took me to the market today. It was really nice to spend some time with her, just the two of us. I think she did more talking than I, heh, but I am rather used to that.
Aside from a few, ah… drastic evasions whenever the topic of grandchildren came up, it was a lovely afternoon. She even helped me find some treats to my liking :)
…I suppose that, on a day spent with someone I can call a mother figure, and when the veil between this world and the next is growing thin, it was fated that I would stumble upon that stall selling old CDs…

Jayce’s grandmother is certainly a delightful character :) She speaks of the bees as though they are old friends.
Ah… I have had to sequester myself in the kitchen for a moment, though. As I was asking questions, I… experienced a sense of déjà vu. A cascade of memories hit me. I have asked them all before. I knew the answers.
My father kept bees. He spoke to them, too. How could I have forgotten that?

We're off! My grandma has a little spot on the far end of the vineyard. She's a bit of a recluse, I don't think you've had the chance to speak with her past our first day here.

Jayce is taking me on a bit of a hike to show me the family vineyards. Apparently, his grandmother keeps bees on the property as well!
…and perhaps we will find a secluded spot to work on some of the HexTech projects we have been discussing while falling asleep at night. It is rather difficult to experiment with magic when there are people in every corner of the living space 😰

I had quite a few animal friends growing up, so I am not certain there would be enough room for them all. Although, one in particular comes to mind. The memory is a little blurry, but I remember having a kitten when I was very young, one I loved dearly. We played together all the time. I… do not quite remember what happened to it. I hope it found another home.
At any rate, perhaps I could leave something on the altar for that kitten.
