White man here. No the fuck he is not. Whilst Anakin has some relatable characteristics he's extremely toxic and power hungry (even if some of that is due to being groomed by Palpatine). Seriously pick a better role model. Like Obi-Wan, no that's a good role model.

Ares quite literally is not a protector of women in actual greek mythology. Idk where this idea came from but it's not true. He is a god of war not women. The protectors of women in the greek pantheon would have been Hera and Artemis.
Fenrir the Ice Wolf
@Fenrirtheicewo1Oct 28
Unlike what the media likes to tell you Ares was unironically one of the best among the Greek gods, he defended women from rape, creating several laws amongst the Spartans about it, and HIS DAUGHTERS under HIS GUIDENCE made The Amazons. This whole scene is bullshit. Lol

“I hate having to defend a man…” Its genuinely so pathetic that women feel the need to performatively apologise for showing basic decency and empathy towards men Gender has truly rotted your brain
aalisha@aalishamusicOct 27
I hate having to defend a man but he did not deserve that and I’m impressed he handled it so kindly 😭

Whilst yes it probably isn't the SF but at the end of the day Waid was a silver age fanatic. The likelihood of this at the very least inspiring the speed force is extremely high.
rolo@LenSnartOct 27
I don't think this is really the same. The Speed Force is a lot more than just Barry's aura. Its a fun thought experiment, but ascribing the Speed Force to the Silver Age is a stretch when nothing here implies the existence of a plane of energy that gives speedsters their powers.

EA don't you fucking dare ruin your games with gen ai.
Daily Star Wars Games@Daily_SWGamesOct 27
REPORT: EA is "heavily" pushing Generative AI in the development of their games which likely means their future Star Wars games. “Morale has been terrible. The line we kept hearing is 'do less, better' but it felt like we were doing the same amount with less people"

Good for beginners, I'd say. And if you wanna get deeper read the rest of Flash vol 1 (Bates run especially great) and Williamson's Rebirth run both of which the best Barry has ever been IMO.

People around the world are uniting to say no to Trump. Yet Andy Burnham does the opposite by approving the Jackdaw gas field.

Hah and people say Wally is the more likable Flash. 🤣
Uncanny Cassandra 🏳️‍⚧️@UncannySp1derOct 26
In all honesty this arc has transformed from a fun if not lacking arc into essentially a mini Civil War 2 in which Wally somehow can't see the flaw in his actions but I'm supposed to see a real argument here?
