Really curious to see how Guidry draws James Jesse after seeing his Axel. The previous artists on the Flash book post Greatest Trick made the two Trickster look interchangable, as are his appearances in other books. This Axel looked about 20, and the long hair was neat.

Still think henchman 21 an brock Clashing was the coolest shit, seeing 21’s character arch come full circle to fight the person he once feared an actually putting up a fight is so fucking rad. (Fight scenes in the venture bros are amazing when they wanna do them)
I think its fair to say he used the force to retroactively justify some of the more silly stuff. Though I don't really think the aura is one of them, that's just something used as a way to justify Barry not bursting into flames when he runs or used to not kill people he moves
I don't think this is really the same. The Speed Force is a lot more than just Barry's aura. Its a fun thought experiment, but ascribing the Speed Force to the Silver Age is a stretch when nothing here implies the existence of a plane of energy that gives speedsters their powers.
His aura was just a part of his powers back then, and yeah, Waid made it originate from the speed force, but that would be like saying the superspeed abilities is proof of it existing. That's just his powers.
I think I'd prefer if he was on the Knightfall Batman body, its a little bigger but it gets way more motion (at least my Tim Drake does).
But the Blue Beetle body is good. I like he's bulkier and matches with the 80s and 90s Nightwings. Only issue is that belt. Just why?
