Biggest shift is apparently Latino men, Catholics, Latino women, 18-29 — all to say: third-world sympathizers generally more concerned about the plight of immigrants than the sovereignty of America.

In 2020, Whites were 58% of the electorate in Texas. Today, they are only 46%.
BREAKING: Polymarket projects James Talarico has flipped Texas's U.S. Senate seat, becoming the first Democrat to win a Senate race in the state since 1988 — 99% chance.

The “Texas” in your mind is an abstraction which no longer exists. Probably only 40% of the votes are from anyone you would clock as a “Texan” if you met them in the street. The schools from K to PhD are indistinguishable from Massachusetts. I am begging you to live in reality
What model of the American electorate has Texas voting for a guy who says God is trans? Someone steelman this for me. I’m having trouble getting there.

FYI: In the next couple weeks virtually every AI service will have a built in invisible watermark in text that will flag anything as AI generated no matters the way in which you use it. What this means is that if you use AI to even check for spelling errors or grammar your entire document will be flagged as AI and invalidated. This is going to create a whole heap of problems for people as we enter the Salem Witch Trials of AI accusations. As of now we believe ChatGPT in the US is still cuck free but pretty much all of the AI companies in Europe are cooked. Maybe someone in the comments can provide the exact list.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
OpenAI watermarks ChatGPT text only in the EU; Anthropic marks newer Claude models worldwide; Gemini has used SynthID since 2024. The marks are only in AI-written text, weaken with editing, and detector access is restricted. tech.yahoo.com/ai/chatgpt/art… techcrunch.com/2026/08/11/ant…

Guy who thinks building a good nightlife consists of “people who can pull off dope outfits”
My experience partying all night at Berghain in Berlin made me think of how we're lacking this experience in the San Francisco tech scene. We can literally become the coolest, most tasteful social scene on Earth if we had our version of Berghain, but better. So let's build it. The best aspect of Berhain is how they select who gets in. The club has a vibe and atmosphere, and if you aren't wearing the right clothes or have the right demeanor, you don't get in. That's how you cultivate a tasteful crowd. We can improve on this by only letting in high agency, talented operators in the tech scene who can still pull off dope outfits, so no geeks. SF is in dire need of late night venues, and Berghain goes until 8am. That's a little too crazy for high net worth operators who are changing the world so we could do something like 2am. Berghain also is kinda dark and in a weird building so we'd put the club in a SoMa corporate office that we convert to speakeasy or barcade vibe. Maybe add a quiet area for people to bring their laptops and work? I honestly feel like we're improving on the Berghain form here, especially by swapping out the crowd of weird partiers in inappropriate clothes (or lack there of) with insanely cracked founders and engineers. I'm super stoked about this idea, SF tech could really run the dopest parties on the planet.

The problem with SF is the people, and of course SF people will never reconcile themselves with that fact

Harvard is sitting on close to $70B and for some reason never considers allowing more undergraduate students to attend. It only has ~6,600 undergraduates versus 17K at Oxford. They could double or even triple their enrollment and still retain their prestige. We know from the Harvard admissions lawsuit that only ~30% of undergraduates are white in a country that is 60% white. And 43% of white admits were in one of four categories (athletes, legacies, donors’ children, or dean’s interest list). Maybe let more kids in based purely on merit? The university's endowment needs to be taxed punitively until they remember what their mission is supposed to be.

“Sleeping in is a revolutionary act, skipping lectures is a revolutionary act. It is a sort of pagan rejection of the bourgeois time-as-currency ordering for a return to Nature. I’ve long believed that animals spend their whole lives in such a joyous state, you know.”
