The North Korean regime continues targeting and exploiting American companies through fraudulent activities conducted by its overseas IT operatives, who weaponize sensitive data and extort businesses for substantial payments. Today, Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctioned 10 individuals and one entity for their roles in Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) government-run IT worker schemes that defraud U.S. businesses and generate revenue for the DPRK’s unlawful weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missile programs. The DPRK continues to rely on fraudulent documents, stolen identities, and fabricated personas to conceal its IT workers and secure employment with legitimate companies, including those in the United States and allied countries.

Judicial Watch has filed a lawsuit against the DOJ for failing to comply with their FOIA request on former FBI official Nikki Floris.
Judicial Watch put the request in on July 10, 2025.
They are seeking all communications between former FBI Deputy Assistant Directors Nikki Floris and Tonya Ugoretz (and others) about the Albany Field Office’s September 2020 Intelligence Information Report on alleged Chinese production and export of fraudulent U.S. driver’s licenses, covering dissemination, recall, verification of the information, and any follow-up investigation from September 1, 2020 onward.

175 House Democrats fire off a letter demanding the Trump administration halt its federal investigation into Rep. Ilhan Omar's immigration history, arguing the probe amounts to election interference with her re-election just one week away.
The letter, led by Rep. Pramila Jayapal, blasts DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin and Attorney General Todd Blanche, accusing them of weaponizing law enforcement against a sitting member of Congress. Federal agents executed a search warrant on Omar's D.C. home on Oct. 12, seizing phones and notebooks as part of a probe into whether Omar or her father lied about her birth year on immigration paperwork when her family fled Somalia in the late 1990s.
The core question: if Omar was 18 or older when her father obtained citizenship — not 17 as previously claimed — she would not have automatically qualified for citizenship through him and would have needed to file her own application. House Majority Whip Tom Emmer has called for Omar to be jailed and deported if the allegations are proven true.

A former FBI deputy assistant director sat in a federal courtroom in Washington today and cried.
Nikki Floris ran counterintelligence. She went in front of Congress on July 19, 2023 and answered questions about whether the Bureau tried to suppress or discredit what was on the Hunter Biden laptop. On Friday the Justice Department charged her, and a second former counterintelligence official named Bradley Benavides, with lying when they did it. The government says the two of them talked that way to bury how deep the FBI's Foreign Influence Task Force was in the Hunter Biden investigations. An obstruction count went on the docket this week.
The country was told that laptop was Russian disinformation before most people had ever seen a page of it. It was not Russian disinformation. It was his laptop.

The D.C. U.S. attorneys office does not oppose the warrant being unsealed at a later date.

Some details have already appeared in the press coverage from unnamed sources.
The government also refers to "the subject" as Congresswoman Ilhan Nur Said Elmi.
The government is asking the court to deny the applications without prejudice and to require status reports once execution is complete.
This filing is a response to applications by about 16 press organizations (including The New York Times, Judicial Watch, and others) seeking immediate unsealing of search warrant materials.
