I know I’ll get dragged over the coals here, but as a lifelong cRepublican, I can tell you that Fox News is wrong. We lost this vote because we lost our way. I sat on the sidelines, in willful protest of my own party, this election after years of being insulted as a RINO. Tonight I say I didn’t leave you; you left me, and this is the cost. Turns out you do need us centrists. We used to be the party of logic, good math, common sense, pulling ourselves up by our own bootstraps. Now we have become a cult of personalities, yes men, terrible candidates, and indecisiveness. We are to blame for tonight’s outcome; we, just as the Democrats, have allowed ourselves to become slaves to the fringe elements who scream the loudest about the absolute worst ideas, dragging us all down. Those elements being on the ticket drowned even the most viable we had. We better get used to losing until we cut that cancer out. Let’s get back to what actually works; we’re better than this.
