How are you? Please post this. Today, I took my Toyota Hilux GD-6 to a Service Station in Pomona, Borrowdale, and bought US$100 worth of diesel. My tank was already above a quarter full, but after refuelling, the fuel gauge only moved slightly towards the half-tank mark. I raised my concern with the manager, but little to no effort has been made to resolve the matter. I even added another 4 litres of diesel to confirm whether the gauge was faulty, as the staff had suggested. To my surprise, the additional 4 litres was recorded, raising further questions about what happened to the initial US$100 worth of fuel. I urge all drivers to take note of this experience. Based on what happened, I would advise motorists to be cautious when refuelling at this service station to avoid potentially suffering the same inconvenience.

With the vast leadership experience of His Excellency President Dr. E.D. Mnangagwa @edmnangagwa, I have no doubt that Zimbabwe will lead COMESA with distinction and prestige. Zimbabwe's SADC Chairmanship in 2024–2025 demonstrated its commitment to regional cooperation, peace, stability and economic integration. COMESA is an economic powerhouse comprising 21 member states, approximately 680 million people and a combined GDP of US$1.23 trillion. Under Zimbabwe's chairmanship, I believe we must advance an ambitious vision of ONE MARKET, ONE FUTURE, with greater emphasis on removing trade barriers, industrialisation, investment and infrastructure connectivity. Imagine the economic benefits of ONE COMESA PASSPORT and ONE COMMON CURRENCY! Easier movement of people, reduced transaction costs, stronger cross-border trade, increased tourism and a larger market for African businesses. These should be long-term integration goals, supported by harmonised economic policies and stronger financial institutions. Political stability creates investor confidence, while economic integration creates prosperity. Africa must move beyond declarations towards practical economic transformation. Hearty congratulations to His Excellency, President Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa and the Republic of Zimbabwe on assuming the Chairmanship of COMESA at the 25th Summit of Heads of State and Government held at the New Parliament Building, Mt Hampden. This is a well-deserved honour that places Zimbabwe at the heart of driving Africa's economic transformation. Under the theme "One Market, One Future: Advancing Inclusive Industrialisation, Investment and Regional Integration in COMESA," Zimbabwe's leadership comes at a critical time for the region. This chairmanship will immensely contribute to Zimbabwe through accelerated industrialisation, promotion of value addition and beneficiation of natural resources, development of agro-processing industrial parks, enhanced intra-COMESA trade, and attraction of new investment, which will ultimately uplift livelihoods and create opportunities for youth, women and SMEs. For COMESA at large, President Mnangagwa's focus on tackling transport bottlenecks, promoting digital trade systems, climate-proofing agriculture for regional food security, and mobilizing long-term financing for roads and rail infrastructure will strengthen regional integration, interconnectivity and inclusive growth. I wish Zimbabwe a successful tenure as it steers COMESA towards a more integrated, industrialized and prosperous future. Congratulations once again.

I accept the chairmanship of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) with deep humility, as we convene for the 25th Summit of COMESA Heads of State and Government at the New Parliament Building in Mt Hampden. We gather under the powerful and progressive theme: "One Market, One Future: Advancing Inclusive Industrialisation, Investment and Regional Integration in COMESA." On behalf of our nation, I extend my profound gratitude to the outgoing Chairperson, President William Ruto of Kenya, for steering COMESA with immense purpose, clarity, and a steadfast focus on digitization and robust value chains. I also commend the COMESA Secretariat for their sterling work. My warmest congratulations go to my brother, His Excellency President Hakainde Hichilema of Zambia, on his appointment as the new Vice Chairperson of COMESA. Together, Zimbabwe and Zambia stand ready to lead our regional bloc toward unprecedented economic growth. The theme of our summit brings to the fore the urgent need for the interconnectivity of our markets to accelerate modernization and industrialization. To reach new customers and achieve collective progress, we must expand our horizons. The tangible growth of intra-COMESA projects demonstrates the undeniable value of our cooperation, and it is through this unity that we will uplift more of our people. COMESA remains a vital platform to promote trade, and the ultimate success of this conference rests upon our collective shoulders. To unlock our full potential, we must decisively address transportation bottlenecks. Furthermore, the financial challenges faced by our youth, women, and SMEs require new strategies and bold decisions. By driving the wider use of digital trade systems, we can bridge these gaps. During our tenure, we aim to work closely with all member states to fast-track value addition and beneficiation. The lessons from our policy decisions are clear: we must see the true value of our natural resources. Zimbabwe will champion the development of agro-processing industrial parks and the climate-proofing of our agriculture to guarantee regional food security. To support this industrial drive, our roads and rail systems require long-term financing. We must think outside the box on financing models, working hand-in-hand with our development partners. Integration is only a success when it benefits the ordinary citizen. The challenge has been set upon us. We must align our skills training and education systems to produce goods and services that directly impact and improve the lives of our people. Our private sector is highly commended for actively involving itself in these debates; their partnership is crucial. As we chart our own destination, we remind the world that Zimbabwe remains a friend to all and an enemy to none, exercising our amenable rights to self-determination. With unity of purpose, let us deliver a better, more prosperous future for the people of Africa. #COMESA2026 #OneMarketOneFuture #Industrialisation #Investment #RegionalIntegration #Zimbabwe #Zambia

Aiwa ndekuno yemukono 👏🏽👏🏽 Zambia’s economy is cooled reliant. They don’t export copper ore, they export copper cathodes. Cathodes require huge amounts of power to run electrolysis batteries. But these guys it my t mean more GDP. Zambia power consumption increased by 48% from 10,4 GWh in 2024 to 15,4 GWh in 2025, they are not questioning that jump or trying to make sense of it. Artisanal miners digging up gold don’t need must or any power, do they?

X brings together people who would never interact in real life. But proximity is not equivalence. Having access to someone’s voice doesn’t make you their equal in intellect, character, values or lived experience. Sometimes, the only thing you have in common is the internet.

Russia’s🇷🇺 President Vladimir Putin on de-dollarisation: 'The dollar is being used as a WEAPON. It is true, and we can see that. I think it is a GREAT MISTAKE by those who do this, because using the dollar, which remains the most important instrument in global finance, as a political tool undermines trust in the currency, thereby reducing its capabilities. We are not the ones doing this. Others are. We are not rejecting the dollar or fighting against it. But if they do not allow us to use it, what else can we do? We have to seek alternatives, and that is exactly what we are doing.'
Gerald Celente: 'The DEATH OF THE DOLLAR has begun, the world has had ENOUGH of US🇺🇸 hegemony. The business of America is WAR' ‘One of my sayings is: when all else fails, they take you to war. Look what’s going on in France with Gen Z taking to the streets. The people are going broke and busted. “We’re building up our military.” What’s going on in the UK with Burnham? “Oh, we got to build up our military. We got to help those Ukrainians.” What’s going on in Germany? Where the economy is going to crap, the manufacturers have lost their jobs to China. “Oh, we got to build up our military.” And that does not build up the economy. Economies grow when the products that are manufactured are consumed by the people. This is only going to enrich the military-industrial complex. This is the beginning of the death of the dollar. The world has had enough of the United States hegemony, socio-economic and geopolitical. The business of America is war. Our country is rotting in front of us.’ -Gerald Celente, Founder & Director of the Trends Research Institute, on the latest episode of New Order. #Zimbabwe The Art Of War🐊🐊🐊 In my view, President Mnangagwa is the greatest ‘GENERAL’ our nation will ever have. He was a member of the Crocodile Team that helped launch our liberation struggle, served ten years in prison, and after his release returned to the struggle to continue fighting for our freedom. Since 2017, as President, he has worked to rebuild our economy under economic sanctions, in line with his Vision 2030 policy. #ED2030andBEYOND🇿🇼 is unstoppable✅ #23rdNationalPeoplesConference #Chimurenga✊🏿
