Bitcoin chart from the last bear to bull market transition, broken down into phases. Which phase do you think we’re in now for current market? IMO we’re in phase 1 (end of) or phase 2 (beginning of), and I think we’ll have a better idea of which in the next few weeks.

They say it's never their fault, but the data they take from you continues to be breached. Last time this happened, I got drained. Be careful out there.
Coinbase has not had a data breach. Amplitude, an analytics vendor, experienced a security incident which impacted a small subset of Coinbase customer contact data, among other Amplitude customers. We’ve found no evidence of unauthorized access to Coinbase systems, and customer funds were not impacted. We are notifying impacted customers and regulatory agencies in accordance with our legal obligations.

Anything necessary to support human life at its base function (power, water, food, healthcare) should have been government mandated to be operable without internet connection and be swift and easy to override in a cybersecurity breach.

Whomever thought to put critical infrastructure systems, like electricity and water, on an internet system that was hackable isn’t very wise. Even if doing so made things easier, there should be a mechanical way to instantly switch back to 80’s/90’s legacy mode

Unbelievable. The timing of it all is so convenient innit And this story just ‘leaks’ like this
BREAKING: A hacker is attempting to breach the US Federal Election Commission's systems and that agency has had to 'temporarily shut down' its web-facing services as a result, according to an email seen by Reuters reut.rs/4imQyUu

The next thing you’ll be told is that they will never be able to function again, and that because of the state of emergency, the whole process has been cancelled

There is no reason to have voting systems connected to the internet. Take them offline, as was done for decades, centuries even, and proceed with a fair election.

The real truth is that most people really don't know what the fuck is going on, and they are speculating with overconfidence either direction bc clicks and fake it til you make it I guess. The smartest people I follow on CT are staying quiet or preparing for either scenario.

Idk, I think I'm just gonna stay stable w/ crypto until after midterms. A lot of political and macro stuff is being put on hold until afterwards, want to see how it plays out. That said, BTC looks better than I expected. Tempted to swim for a short duration but idk quite yet.

The broader concern for me is the general cybersecurity issues that seem to be happening on a daily basis. I don't trust most central exchanges much, including their security, and I think crypto is full of bad actors in general. I don't favor the odds vs. the AI onslaught.

I don’t know if I ever remember this happening in any of my playthroughs - crazy
pokemon mechanics that made players nervous. in 1999, pokemon gold and silver introduced a hidden mechanic rarer than a shiny, an "anomaly" that rattled players. after you brought your team to a pokemon center, nurse joy would occasionally warn you that one of your pokemon had been infected by a strange virus. soon afterward, professor elm would phone to say it was spreading fast and could jump to your other pokemon this was the “notorious” pokerus. with information moving so slowly back then, wild rumors said that pokerus was a destructive glitch that would wipe your save or kill your team. thousands of frightened players released their beloved pokemon just to stop the "outbreak." in truth, pokerus is a hidden mechanic with odds of roughly 1 in 21,845, even slimmer than a shiny. despite the name, it's actually a blessing, since it doubles the effort values (evs) your pokemon earns, helping them grow far stronger. the infection lasts anywhere from 1 to 4 days before it is cured. even after the cure, the pokemon keeps earning double evs.

Feels other-worldly at this point
No piercings, no tattoos to attract attention. Just a good voice, a good band, good sound, a good song. Comparing it to today's music is unfair because 80s music was far superior.

lol as an American I can I love this
Japanese doing impressions of Americans is just like us doing impressions of them. We just do ours as kids after we watch Seven Samurai and they broadcast theirs on public television in front of a crowd howling with laughter.

It was fucking best 🥹
You could just be a dude in the 2000s. A regular dude. No pressure to looksmax. No consciousness of the ever present camera yet. You could just be a dude and it was fine

Charles is a national treasure.
I mean, just an all-time TV segment. Making Chuck do Who He Play For multiple times in a row with the same players is a brilliant idea and I was legit crying laughing by the end, my god.
