I'm currently going through hundreds of images and hours of footage for a project next year that is aimed at increasing understanding and respect for the leopard. This clip was part of many days waiting for the right conditions to finally get the still image you see at the end.
Once again a big thanks to those subscribing and reading at my Substack linked at wildleopard.net. Yes, the biodiversity of the Himalaya is a serious subject in that the future is uncertain but there's hope if we can all work together with passion for mountain wildlife.
First piece of the Himalayan series at wildleopard.net. Much more over the next few months about the world's highest mountain range and the wild animals that are part of it.
Many thanks to those who have subscribed at my Substack, it's free, it's easy, it helps, just go to wildleopard.net. Many issues for #leopard re human-wildlife conflict and illegal #wildlife trade. Also brief posts at facebook.com/jackkinross and instagram.com/kinrossjack

#InternationalLeopardDay today started early for us in an area where kids travel through jungle for the 6am hot season school start. There's raw reality with all this, I've written a bit at facebook.com/jackkinross and instagram.com/kinrossjack, there'll be a Substack post tomorrow.
1st of 2 - I've been algorithmed out by X. A great engagement has gone, maybe what was perceived by the Xbots as left leaning posts was the bullet when the reality is I'm not left or right, I'm good environmental policy biased. Whatever. I'm at facebook.com/jackkinross (cont)...
2nd of 2 ... and instagram.com/kinrossjack but the real deal stuff is now at jackkinross.substack.com which links from wildleopard.net. Big thanks to supporters, we need truth, courage and action to get things right so from my mud hut in the jungle I wish you well.
And further to the previous post, our behaviour in wildlife habitat is key to preventing conflict, here Nana talks to kids on a trail we share with big cats. More about perspective at jackkinross.substack.com, please subscribe, it's free, it's easy, it helps.
When people ask what I do it's simple, I'm trying to stop people and leopards from killing each other. A post at jackkinross.substack.com touches on an incident which still has a profound effect on me. Please subscribe, it's free, it's easy, it helps.
Short piece re a retaliation killing of a #leopard in Rajasthan 2 days ago at facebook.com/jackkinross and instagram.com/kinrossjack, it follows on from other recent similar incidents in India and Nepal. I'm going more deeply into the issue at jackkinross.substack.com in a few days.

Rescued from human-wildlife conflict, Ganesh has since only seen the world through one good eye only. However, that changed when Vitthal, who never leaves his side, entered his life forming an inseparable friendship visible to everyone at the Manikdoh Leopard Rescue Centre (MLRC).
As we celebrate Ganesh’s 13th rescuversary, take a look at how these two non-biological brothers spend their days together, supporting each other, no matter what!
Many thanks to those who read my post at jackkinross.substack.com yesterday, it's easy and free to subscribe there. I was in the territory of the leopard Dundra early this morning, a bit more on that at facebook.com/jackkinross and instagram.com/kinrossjack.
The #leopard Dundra ghosts back into the jungle just before first light not far from a track children use to walk to school. Read about Dundra and how we're deploying LeopardEye to help stop serious conflict in a post at jackkinross.substack.com, please subscribe, it's free.
A bit about harnessing the sun for coexistence with LeopardEye is at facebook.com/jackkinross and instagram.com/kinrossjack with more on my personal take at jackkinross.substack.com, please subscribe there, it's free.
