We bought our 3-bed townhome ($330K) in 2020 with 3.25% rate ($1,550 monthly mortage).
The next size home to upgrade to (4-bed SFH) in our area is ~$750K now. Even if we put 50% down ($375K), the monthly mortgage is $3,300.
This is why many pre-2022 buyers still aren't moving.
