BREAKING: Abdul El-Sayed goes on Al Jazeera Syria and makes his pitch to the Syrian people in Arabic.
He demands that every sanction be lifted and that America must clear every obstacle for the Syrian regime.

Antisemites always troll Jews with photos of Neturei Karta members at pro-Pal demos. It's about time our haters learned the truth about the creeps they exalt, and a good place to start would be the testimony of a woman who escaped from this revolting sect.

🚨 OBAMA FUELING DEMOCRATS’ BETRAYAL OF ISRAEL
NY Post columnist Michael Goodwin argues Barack Obama helped normalize anti-Israel hostility within the Democratic Party.
Speaking in Belfast, Obama claimed Jews “took land off people” and accused Israel of surrendering the “moral high ground.”
Netanyahu shot back: “Our land is not stolen land.”
Goodwin also highlights Obama’s ties to NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani and his endorsement of Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, who declared Israel is “not actually our friend” and accused its military of “full war crimes, genocide.”
Elisha Wiesel, son of Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel, challenged Obama’s historical narrative, citing Jewish ties to Hebron, Israel’s acceptance of the 1947 UN partition plan, past peace offers and the 2005 Gaza withdrawal.
Goodwin argues Obama’s influence has helped turn hostility toward Israel into mainstream Democratic politics.
Care to explain, @TheDemocrats?

El-Sayed deleted a tweet he posted on 9/11 of him both-sidesing while the towers were still burning.
Are El-Sayed supporters in Michigan blind to who this guy is, or are there really so many citizens that want to intentionally bring down America?

What if Brad focused on America instead of Gaza?
What if, he insists on prioritizing the West Bank, he did not intentionally enter a *restricted area* after Israeli officials told him this area was restricted before his stunt?
The IDF detained Brad Lander and several other Americans this morning for assisting Palestinian farmers in harvesting olives — a shameful action by the Israeli government that I wholeheartedly condemn. The remaining detainees must be immediately released.
The Israeli government’s actions in the West Bank have increasingly violated international law, while its continued expansion of illegal settlements and failure to stop settler violence have led to the needless loss of life and undermined prospects for lasting peace. The Israeli government must put an end to settlement expansion, hold violent settlers accountable, and respect the rights and dignity of Palestinians living in both the West Bank and Gaza.
The Israeli government must understand that their actions have consequences — and US political leaders must be willing to do more to reinforce that.
Pandering to the Jew-haters will not get you the House and Senate back, asshole. Fuck all the way off with that bullshit.

Sir David Bell’s report today on antisemitism in England's schools will document the damage — 3 in 5 Jewish students have experienced anti-Jewish hate, and fewer than half see any point reporting it. One of the recommendations—making antisemitism its own category of harm instead of lumping into the broader grouping of 'racism'—is overdue.
I was a Jewish schoolgirl in 1960s London. I was kicked, spat on, had my head forced down a toilet, and found swastikas carved into my desk. Adults looked away; the only thing that stopped it was fighting back. Today’s children face the same hatred on steroids, now wrapped in progressive language and protected by the fear of being called Islamophobic. Jewish children in British schools are not IDF soldiers. They are children. Treating their safety as optional is not neutrality.
The report that will be made public today quantifies the harm to children but does not call out the cause. That is the pattern. Official inquiries map the extent of the antisemitism, then stop short of identifying what actually produces it.
As @stephenpollard writes in today's Spectator, Parents Against Antisemitism recorded an incident in which two Muslim girls told a child they would “send our family to behead yours like Jews deserve.” The Metropolitan Police treated the girls as exemplary students. Lucy Powell, the Education Secretary who will respond to this report, previously insisted the Manchester Arena bomber had nothing to do with Islam and dismissed concern over the rape scandals as a right-wing “dog-whistle.” Labour ministers’ rhetoric on Israel has further licensed the atmosphere in which Jewish children are treated as stand-ins for a foreign army.
Name those behind the hate. Stop protecting the perpetrators. That is how to stop it at its source.
Here's my @Spectator column,
'What’s really causing anti-Semitism in British schools'
spectator.com/article/whats-…
Sir David Bell’s report into anti-Semitism in schools (which will be published this afternoon but has been widely trailed) is an important document with a series of worthwhile recommendations. He finds that three in five Jewish students have experienced anti-Semitism – a statistic that should be profoundly shocking but is now entirely unsurprising – and that fewer than half think that there is any point reporting it, given that schools have consistently refused to take serious action when it is reported.
In that context, Sir David’s recommendation that schools and colleges should be forced to recognise anti-Semitism as a specific category of harm – as opposed to the general requirement to tackle racism – and to take explicit action to tackle it is eminently sensible.
But for all Sir David’s good intentions, his report suffers from the same fundamental flaw as almost all such official analyses of anti-Semitism: his terms of reference did not allow him to examine the causes of the Jew hate he found, only its extent. Which begs so many questions.
None of those questions will even be asked by Lucy Powell, the Education Secretary, in her response to the report in the Commons this afternoon, let alone answered. She will doubtless make a big deal of the fact that Labour commissioned the report and will – as all politicians always do – tell MPs that anti-Semitism has no place in schools. It’s the line we always hear whenever there is a major incident – demonstrating in reality that the opposite is true and that there is a very large place for anti-Semitism in Britain today.
Any analysis of the growth of anti-Semitism in the years since Israel began its military operation in Gaza in response to the Hamas massacre of October 7, 2023 would have to include the words and actions of Labour ministers who have deliberately turned on Israel, in an attempt to appease the sectarian Muslim voters who started to desert Labour in the last general election. Ministers’ rhetoric – such as Ed Miliband speaking last month of Israeli war crimes and ethnic cleansing – has the effect of licensing Jew hate. The government cannot even bring itself to condemn the regular hate marches – sending the message that Jew hate on the streets is entirely legitimate. Add to that the obsession of so many Labour backbenchers with Israel and you have a recipe for the spread of anti-Semitism.
Then there is the elephant in the room which few are willing to identify: that much of the problem in schools lies with Muslim children (see this report from Parents Against Anti-Semitism). All too often, this is swept under carpet in fear of accusations of Islamophobia.A typical incident was reported earlier this year, in which two Muslim girls approached a child and stated: ‘We will send our family to behead yours like Jews deserve.’ The incident was reported to the Metropolitan Police but their response was that the girls involved were considered exemplary students and no substantive action would be taken, except talking to them via Police Community Support Officers. Islamophobia and right-wing extremism are often seen as a more significant concern than anti-Semitism.
When it comes to having a clear-sighted approach to the issues around anti-Semitism it is difficult to think of a worse possible education secretary than Lucy Powell. Infamously, she claimed that the Manchester Arena suicide bombing which killed 22 people had nothing to do with Islam. Asked on the BBC after the murders, ‘How serious is the problem of Islamist radicalisation in Manchester?’ she replied: ‘I’m not sure that this is the right moment to totally go into that, because I don’t even want to ascribe what has happened to the Islam faith.’ Powell also denied the evidence of links between the bomber, Islamist radicalism and certain mosques, telling the Manchester Evening News: ‘I’m particularly worried about that kind of narrative that somehow there’s areas or hotspots of Manchester that are hotbeds of radicalisation.’ She also, of course, described concern over the rape scandal as a right-wing ‘dog-whistle’.
Sir David is to be commended for his report. It is not his fault that it was limited to the extent of school anti-Semitism rather than the causes. But we already know what will happen now, because it always happens. Instead of dealing with the facts of Jew hatred in Britain in 2016, the report’s findings will be attacked with reference to the Gaza war – as if Jewish children at school in Britain are soldiers in the IDF, which itself demonstrates the problem of anti-Semitism.

To my mind, the only point of comparison between the Rushdie and Rooney situations is that the man who stabbed Rushdie multiple times and almost succeeded in murdering him chanted "free Palestine" as he entered the courtroom for sentencing last year.
If you ever sought out the novels of Sally Rooney in bookshops – when that was still possible – you’d know they sit in the fiction stacks adjacent to the novels of another SR whose books have been withdrawn in dastardly political circumstances. Until last week, “Rooney” and “Rushdie” had little in common beyond being shelfmates; now they have more than just a physical proximity.

BOOKMARK THIS. You’ll need it the next time someone tells you Jews are colonizers in Israel.
A few historical facts worth remembering:
• The Merneptah Stele mentions Israel around 1208 BCE.
• The Tel Dan Stele, dating to the 9th century BCE, refers to the “House of David.”
• The Dead Sea Scrolls preserve Jewish religious texts dating back more than 2,000 years.
• Coins minted during the Jewish revolts against Rome bear Hebrew inscriptions and references to Jerusalem.
• The Romans renamed the province Syria Palaestina following the Bar Kokhba revolt in the 2nd century CE.
• Jewish communities maintained a presence in the land throughout centuries of foreign rule.
You don’t have to agree with modern Israeli politics to acknowledge ancient Jewish history.
Archaeology isn’t a political opinion.

Thank you @RitchieTorres
Earlier this month, Pal-Awda boasted about forcing a Jewish community event out of Queens. Now the group has set its sights on Riverdale, targeting Jewish families in our borough simply for gathering together. Riverdale is home to one of the most vibrant Jewish communities in New York, and its families deserve to come together without fear.
Organizing a campaign to hunt down these gatherings and drive them out of our neighborhoods is an attack on Jewish New Yorkers. Pushing anyone out of public life in our city because of their faith is nothing to celebrate, and the Bronx will not tolerate it.

Mehdi Hasan's Zeteo has a new documentary out on AIPAC, asking whether the "Israel lobby" is really an agent of a foreign power.
A shadowy, fabulously rich network pulling Washington's strings: it's one of the most enduring antisemitic tropes of our age. So I did Mehdi a favour and checked the numbers.
Over the past decade, Israel ranked tenth for registered foreign lobbying spending, behind China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE and even the Marshall Islands. AIPAC came 191st among Washington's lobbies. The entire pro-Israel lobbying category spent less than gun-rights groups, and a fraction of what the drug companies spend.
Elections? AIPAC's super PAC spends serious money. But it competes in a system where outside groups have poured in nearly $2 billion this cycle, and six organisations have each spent over $60 million.
Strangely, Zeteo seems far less curious about Riyadh, Beijing or Doha.
