🚨 TEACHER BREAKS DOWN IN TEARS: “MY STUDENTS COULDN’T EVEN FILL IN FOUR WORDS.” 📚💔
A high school teacher reportedly broke down in tears after realizing some of his students were struggling to read and write—even when asked to complete just four words.
As a teacher, I can attest to this: we have a literacy crisis, and technology alone isn’t going to fix it.
📵 GET THE PHONES OUT OF THE CLASSROOM.
💻 Stop making screens the center of education.
✍️ Bring back handwriting.
📖 Bring back books.
📝 Make students write on paper.
📚 Make them READ—actual books.
Our children need to develop the ability to focus, comprehend, write, think, and communicate without a screen doing everything for them.
Technology can be a tool—but it should NEVER replace the fundamentals.
Put the phones down. Close the laptop. Pick up a book. Pick up a pencil.
As a teacher, I’ve seen firsthand how much students can struggle when basic literacy skills aren’t being developed.
🚨 This isn’t about going backward. It’s about making sure our kids can read and write before we hand them another screen.

Way to go ….Jack!
Jack had a fun and phenomenal summer of golf. But he ended it last weekend in Pinehurst by finishing 2nd place @uskidsgolf World Championships out of 150+ 11 year olds. So proud of his patience, perseverance, hard work, and joyful love of the game.
If you live in Memphis and Shelby County……read John Rose’s “Contract with Memphis & Shelby County” and then go vote tomorrow!
Question: who would you choose? You have three potential choices to lead a $58 billion annual enterprise with 40,000 employees….the state of Tennessee.
Answer: I would choose the most qualified person. I believe that person is John Rose! Go vote tomorrow.
I’m proud to have the support of over 200 business leaders from across Tennessee who know what it takes to grow jobs, meet a payroll, and keep our economy moving.
As a businessman, I understand the challenges they face because I’ve lived them. Together, we’re building a stronger future for Tennessee.
Go vote this afternoon!
Another great Tennessee True Tour stop in Shelby County. The momentum keeps growing because Tennesseans are ready for leadership that shows up. #TNtrue

According to the attack ads, I'm secretly a Democrat.
At this rate, by next week I'll be a socialist, then an alien, then Bigfoot.
Must mean we're winning.

Those were my words to Logan and Bobby Lee on the Talk Dirt to Me podcast this morning.
Farming better be part of our future or America will be left in the past.
So, anyone in Tennessee who has ever voted for a Democrat in a local or municipal election, please add a comment, like, and post! By the way, that red Chevy pickup is a keeper for your two boys!
I’ve been a conservative my whole life. In Congress I’m a staunch supporter of President Trump, stood by him on Jan 6. He endorsed me in every run for Congress.
In TN, I helped fund the GOP takeover of the state legislature and worked hard against the state income tax. This red truck is what my friend John and I drove around the State Capitol during the income tax debates. The locomotive horn in the back was so loud, it shook the glass inside the Capitol! We were firm in our belief that an income tax was bad for Tennessee.
As Governor, I will always stand for conservative principles because those are my principles: faith, family, and freedom. Elections get heated, but I think Tennesseans want something different. They want honesty and integrity. I promise to operate that way now and will do so as your Governor.
Senator Hagerty led the effort to address crime in Memphis working with leaders from across the community. He was there very early in the process and truly deserves credit…. and a huge thank you.
Memphis is proving what's possible when strong leadership, law enforcement, and every level of government work together.
More than 10,000 arrests.
Over 1,000 gang members taken off the streets.
150 missing children safely located.
We're restoring public safety, strengthening neighborhoods, and bringing opportunity back to one of America's great cities.
John Rose is proud to announce his Contract with Shelby County! When he is elected Governor he will deliver results for all Tennesseans. Together we will Keep Tennessee, Tennessee.

1. HB 932 (2025) — general school cellphone ban
•Requires every district to adopt a policy banning use of cellphones, tablets, laptops, smart watches, and gaming devices during instructional time.
•Took effect July 1 for the 2025-2026 school year….
Once again,
@FormerChairman proving he's out of touch. TN, in fact, does NOT have a bell-to-bell cell-phone ban, which is what Marsha is advocating. I've never seen a campaign more steeped in irony than Team Rose's.

One Republican gubernatorial candidate from Cookeville said he is willing to change Tennessee's Constitution, if it allows him to "fire inept prosecutors" in Memphis.
U.S. Rep. John Rose of Cookeville is proposing his contract with Memphis and Shelby County if he wins the party nomination in August, and the general election for governor in November.
This political roundup has more notes on Justin J. Pearson's rally with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche's comments that the Memphis Safe Task Force is “a poster child for a lot of cities in this country.”
