My wife made a custom Brewers cross-stitch for the 2026 season for me. The stitches in the middle show the win/loss record by game (yellow = win, blue = loss)

Some people help write history. Margaret Hamilton helped write the software that got us there 🌖 Today we learned that Margaret Hamilton, one of the true pioneers of computing and software engineering, has passed away at the age of 90. Last year I made this video about the Apollo Guidance Computer, and especially about Margaret and the incredible team she led at MIT. It feels appropriate to share it again tonight in her honor. During Apollo 11’s descent to the Moon, the Guidance Computer suddenly began throwing the now-famous 1201 and 1202 alarms. It was overloaded at one of the worst possible moments. But it didn’t simply crash. The software Hamilton and her team had designed recognized what was happening, discarded lower-priority work, and kept the tasks necessary to land the Lunar Module running. That wasn’t luck. That was engineering. Margaret helped pioneer ideas like fault-tolerant software, asynchronous processing and priority scheduling at a time when “software engineering” itself was barely recognized as a discipline. She fought to change that too. We remember the astronauts because they walked on the Moon. We should also remember the engineers who made sure the computers could get them there. Margaret Hamilton was one of the greatest. I am always deeply honored when someone tells me I resemble her, which is a regular occurrence ☺️ Rest in peace, Margaret. And thank you for helping humanity make one giant leap 🌙💻 Music Piano Pill (YouTube).

hello @SEGA. i find it deeply disturbing that your brand's likeness and music was used to turn inhumane treatment of real people into "games". i will not be spending money on your brand until i see this removed and every like on this post is someone committing to doing the same.

Hi Seattle/Seatac/Port of Seattle/Airport shuttles! I need some advice, please! On Friday night between 9:00 - 9:30ish I was at Island 3a at SeaTac and one of my suitcases wandered off while I was trying to figure out how to get my kids home safely and legally after West Jet left a car seat in Calgary. In the suitcase was a t-shirt of my brother's who died in 2022. It is one of my only momentos. I am hoping a shuttle driver accidentally picked it up thinking it belonged to someone else and that it is sitting in some lost & found. The problem is I have no idea which shuttle it could be and don't know where to begin. I filed a report with SeaTac and haven't heard that it showed up. Any suggestions? Has something similar happened to anyone else? Where do I start?

Please stop flying your personal drones over wildfires. They can ground or collide with our firefighting aircraft, disrupting time critical firefighting and threatening people’s homes. Your photos are not worth someone’s home. If you fly, we can’t.

This is such an important/forgotten point. College football was built as a regional sport. The big goals were to beat your rival (good year assured), and win your conference (great year assured). It was understood that a national championship was a fantasy requiring huge luck!
Again this is the ridiculous notion that the only thing that matters is a national championship. This is a very recent distortion. In the history of college football very few teams were playing for a national championship.

I hate when the Yankees lose, but I’m not sure there was an offense in baseball that was touching Misioroski tonight. Whoever designed the sport of baseball didn’t remotely consider that one day we’d have guys throwing 104mph fastballs and 95mph sliders. Watching Misioroski pitch just breaks your brain. Tip your cap and move on. Not going to see that guy again for the rest of the season.
