She was 15. She got in a cab. Police say she ended up stripped, stabbed, and trapped in his basement. Thankfully, she was able to fight her way out. Oct. 22, Baltimore. A 15 year old girl needed a ride to pickup carryout. A man in a white Hyundai offered her a ride. It was an unlicensed cab, and she would pay via Cash App. During the ride, the driver went the wrong way. When she called him out about it, he put her in a headlock. He dragged her into his basement apartment. He ripped off her clothes. He stabbed her. About 5 times. One wound collapsed her lung. She clawed at him. She found a fire extinguisher, and bashed him with it, and ran. Naked, barefoot, and bleeding. She banged on doors until someone let her call 911. She's expected to survive. Abubakarr Barrie, 23, was found through the Cash App number. He still had her phone in his possession. He was arrested on Oct. 24. 9 counts, including attempted 1st degree murder and kidnapping. No bond, thank goodness. He has prior arrests, but no convictions. Preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 25. Lock him up forever.

MAJOR the Malinois HAS BEEN SAVED. After 575 days locked up, a federal judge just saved his life. In case you forgot, here's what happened: Major was struck by a car and injured. 2 women unknown to him, approached him and tried to pick him up. He bit one of them on the arms. He was scared. And he was injured. Austin Animal Services seized Major. A city court ordered him put down A county court agreed. A Texas appeals court upheld it in February. He sat in isolation. No one could touch him. Or walk him. His owner, Shane Lilly, was told to come say goodbye. THE FIGHT: Lilly says he has a brain injury and Major helps with his seizures. A "FREE MAJOR" petition drew tens of thousands of signatures. Willie Nelson spoke up for him. Supporters rallied outside the shelter. Sept. 9: lawyers filed a federal disability lawsuit, two days before he was set to die. Judge David Ezra blocked it at the last minute. Lilly says he has a brain injury and Major helps with his seizures THE RULING: Late Monday, Ezra permanently barred Austin from putting Major down. Austin must release him to a rescue within 30 days. He'll be sedated and muzzled for the move. He gets at least 30 days to decompress outside Austin. Only Lilly and a vet can see him during that time. He can go home to Lilly if the vet signs off. Never to the public. And, Lilly must carry $100K in liability insurance WHAT'S NEXT The city will comply but still calls him a safety risk. No move date yet. The rescue hasn't been named.
