We know the Israelrs disagree, you never hear from Palestinians, what would they say?
I'm pretty sure every war criminal in history has disagreed with the opponents to their crimes, doesn't change that they're criminals though.

Sanders called the Israelis extremists.
She said that the Israelis would disagree.
Sanders said the whole world knows they're extremists and what they've done to Palestinians is genocidal.
Leaving her with a face like a slapped arse. 😁

I hope there are serious penalties for the BBC, nothing short of total exposure of their own lies and propaganda.

The UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, has singled out the BBC as one of the worst offenders in terms of propagating Israeli narratives, and not allowing Palestinian guests to talk about the suffering of their people.
Albanese told us that the BBC and UK government are wrong to claim that we have to wait for the ICJ ruling to determine whether Israel has committed genocide - and that Britain has a duty to prevent genocide.

Camilla frequently appears disoriented. She shakes someone’s hand or waves at them while simultaneously turning away; she repeatedly walks ahead, leaving Charles behind; she takes off her shoes and her expression remains impassive.
Does she have a health issue?

It's a national emergency (if it wasn't already). Something seismic has to change and quickly or people will die or starve this winter.

The latest predictions for the January Price Cap - AWFUL, up 28.8%! This is our internal MSE document where we average three forecasts and how its changed over the past few weeks as wholesale rates have continued to rocket.
PS Jan prediction is getting much more locked in as we're 85% through the 19 August to 17 November 2026 assessment period. April & July predictions are much more crystal ballgazing.

ALT Week-by-week predictions for how much the January 2027 energy price cap will rise from the current cap, averaged from British Gas, E.ON and EDF forecasts: 15 Sep: up 24.9% 22 Sep: up 22.9% 29 Sep: up 21.0% 6 Oct: up 20.9%, the low point 13 Oct: up 25.0% 20 Oct: up 25.7% 27 Oct: up 27.0% 3 Nov: up 28.8%, the highest yet The predicted rise eased through September, then has grown every week since early October.

What Labour Party? The real Labour Party ceased to exist once Starmer got his grubby little paws on it.

I hate Labour. All the years I was a member: now I hate them. I especially hate the dishonesty, the twisting and hedging and obscuring that poisons our entire political life. 'Our focus on the cost of living.' They must never be forgiven.
Another fantastic poll lead for Labour.
No political party is perfect but we are the party of working people and voters are responding to our focus on the cost of living.
Reform can make all the noise but we will get on with delivering for the people.

The supreme irony is, the very reason Adrian Ramsey is on Kuennsberg is because Zack Polanski has put the Greens at the heart of the UKs political debate, rather than floundering around at the margins - like it was when Adrian was leader - being completely ignored by Kuenssberg.

@AdrianRamsay warns Greens at a 'crossroads', says there is a risk under @ZackPolanski party 'digs in' with 'small groups of people on the hard left' going round trying to influence how parties are run -
He is not calling for Polanski to go, but clearly calling on him to act after controversial conference motion -
Really worth listening to Ramsay, who has been in the party since 1998, make his arguments -

The right wing of the Greens would rather be a party of one MP and 50,000 members, than a party of multiple MPs and hundreds of thousands of members that actually stands for something!

"As Tony Zinni said, former Central Command
Commander, ‘If you liked Iraq, you'll love Iran.’ That is a ten to fourteen year, three to four trillion dollar invasion at the end of which the world, Western Asia, will look not much different than it does right now, it'll still be in turmoil, still be in chaos, and 70 plus million Iranians, 52 or 53% of
cohesive Persians, will hate our living guts.”
Lawrence Wilkerson, former Chief of Staff to Colin Powell
The Democratic blue wave in the Congress and Senate means Burnham can now exercise serious influence over the potential war in Iran. If he doesn't exercise it now and to its fullest extent, it may end up seriously (even fatally) undermining the success of his political project.
The US results are a clear repudiation of Trump's foreign policy, both his mad war in Iran and his unstinting support for Israel. The former has spiked gas prices and driven up the cost of living and has alienated Trump supporters who believed he would end foreign wars.
At the same time, Netanyahu is fighting for his political life. He sees a resumption of the war in Israel as key to staying out jail and holding onto power. Reports in Israel have alleged that he has put serious pressure on military chiefs to restart strikes (that they resisted during Israeli elections). Israel is now trying a ham-fisted gambit of linking Iran to chemical WMDs to force the US' hand.
Trump has been mercurial as ever, with briefings every few days suggesting a major escalation followed by backtracking. Trump is a vastly awful human being, but he has an exceptional political antenna. He will know that the War in Iran and closeness to Israel are becoming politically toxic; but his own narcissism and hubris, alongside the input of his insane millenarian advisors like Hegseth, might mean he's unwilling to accept defeat and be open to a huge new blitzkrieg campaign.
If Trump does go to war, it would be a disaster for the world. Iran will escalate everywhere across the region and maybe even in the UK and Europe. Iran appears to have the will and capacity to start attacking civilian energy, tech and transport infrastructure throughout the Middle East. The Houthis will advance strikes on Saudi oil lines. Iranian oil production would tank. Maritime traffic would halt. Oil prices will skyrocket and push up the cost of living everywhere, including the UK. Russia will be emboldened as it is possible European countries will forgive his illegal, vicious war in Ukraine in order to access cheap Russian energy. All of this will happen in the context of a super El-Nino that is going to cause huge disruption and havoc in the next year.
Projections by the Resolution Foundation and Joseph Rowntree already predict that living standards will fall this Parliament, driven largely by energy price increases. Resolution yesterday called the projections catastrophic. Oil prices are already higher than the OBR's "middle" scenario. A new war will cause an economic and cost-of-living crisis that will plummet families into hardship. It is hard to see how Burnham mitigates any of this, trapped by the fiscal rules, a paint-by-numbers Chancellor and Labour's dishonest 2024 Manifesto. And if he can't, he will be punished, just as any government will be punished if they oversee a historic decline in living standards.
The absolute priority for Burnham now must be to use every lever he has to stop the war in Iran. He must use this moment to do what other PMs have always refused - make a clear, total break from US foreign policy in the Middle East. Practically, he could withdraw permission to use UK bases to attack Iran, limit air-to-air refuelling support, and close off bases like RAF Akotiri. It would no doubt create a huge ruckus. Trump will tub-thump. But it is quite likely that very many members of the US security establishment might secretly be quite relieved if they can avoid catastrophe in Iran, and even our own right-wing understand that supporting the war in Iran would be toxic.
The US could still go to war without the UK - but it would be much harder. It might just be the thing that pushes Trump away from conflict.
Progressive Democrats in the US have amazingly, remarkably, shifted the political terrain. They have given Burnham an opportunity to save his own skin. But will he have the nous, or the guts, to take it?
